About the Role
As a member of the BU Car Audio Aftermarket and special market OEM, Global Product Line Management Team, this position is responsible for executing new products to the Regional Business Units in a timely and profitable manner. This includes providing a clear product roadmap and timeline to deliver differentiated and profitable growth over the product life-cycle based on a deep understanding of customer and market needs. This role will focus on marketing related area, cooperating with different regions to get promotion material of new products ready and search for marketing opportunities.
Your Team
The position will report to Director, GPLM.
What You Will Do
• Arrange internal team to do benchmark test & evaluate competitive products and determine their market position based on competitive advantages. Manage benchmark database to record all benchmarked products.
• Create marketing product definitions with direction from manager to communicate customer requirements to the design & development teams.
• Cooperate with different regions to define market promotion strategies and prepare necessary documents or videos.
• Manage customer documents. Coordinate preparation of customer documents and deliver properly based on customer requirement.
• Support internal reporting documentation preparation.
• Manage product promotion channels (e.g. websites product introduction quality)
• Study Share of Market of each product line, understand the competitive strength of different competitors and follow up the trend, understand the reason behind under instruction of your manager.
• Monitor technical trends and study the potential advantage under instruction of your manager.
• Cooperate in team to prepare well for internal and external key events (e.g. deck and samples for CES, Red dot, IF, EMT)
What You Need
• Basic knowledge of audio product is required (either consumer or professional)
• Knowledge of writing product definitions or other technical documents is needed to communicate
customer needs to engineering development teams.
• Basic technical understanding of key components of a professional or consumer audio system.
(Understanding of amplifiers, transducers, mixing boards, microphones, signal processors/routers.)
• Fluent English is required for this position.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point is required.
• Experience of competitor benchmark
• Minimum 3 years of experience within the audio industry or similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree or above
What is Nice to Have
• Major in marketing or engineering with 3 years’ experience in the professional or consumer audio industry.
• This candidate should be personally interested in audio & video systems.
• This candidate should have had some experience using professional audio & video products.
• Experience of Share of Market analysis
• Experience of handling PPAP submission
