What You Will Do

• Work closely with senior management to formulate strategies for environmental initiatives and set appropriate goals and targets.

• Lead and execute the company’s sustainability strategic plans and initiatives for all Lifestyle Consumer Audio product categories.

• Collaborate with appropriate departments to assess and identify creative ways in which the company can balance business obligations with the goal of improving environments and sustainability for products.

• Establish sustainability project goals, objectives and evaluates sustainability initiatives considering factors such as cost effectiveness, feasibility, and ease of integration with other programs.

• Create and suggest the go to market strategy in sustainability for related BU, such as plastic additives, polymer colors, coating additives, electrical related plastics, nonwoven, coatings, fabrics, packaging etc.

• Drive all suppliers together with sourcing function to follow specific sustainability action plans around the key sustainability programs with all Harman LCA key suppliers.

• Drive and create the annual LCA/PCF sustainability report complying with relevant standards and formats, including data collection, compilation and analysis, and content development.

• Provide internal/external trainings in sustainability and train/teach functions how to ensure sustainable products.

• Draft and deliver presentations and reports to communicate sustainability initiatives to key stakeholders.

• Responsible for ensuring all products will receive the relevant environmental/packaging certifications on time (if necessary).

• Continue to build competence and manage Product Sustainability team.

Project Management responsibilities:

• Ensuring projects are well managed and responsible to define KPIs & processes for Sustainability projects.

• Execute, monitor, and communicate the implementation of key sustainability programs between stakeholders across all levels

• Manage Product Sustainability certification programs.

What You Need

• Minimum 10 years’ experience on related job area; Master’s or Bachelor’s degree holder in Sustainability, Environmental Management/ Materials, or other relevant disciplines.

• Experienced in calculating LCA/PCF for electrical consumer goods by using different environmental modelling applications such as SimaPro.

• Excellent communication and influential skills externally and internally.

• Faster learner and able to work under high pressure.

• Experience in managing strategic initiatives and projects simultaneously.

• Strong sense of ethics, trustworthy, reliable, able to work individually as well as part of a team.

• Proven passion for and professional exposure to Sustainability a plus.

• Organized but also able to be flexible to meet changing needs, takes a pragmatic problem-solving approach.

• Team player with ability to collaborate with cross-functional project teams.

• Independent, detailed and results oriented.

• Experience in managing teams.
