Description:
Our [Division] is looking for a R&D AGV engineer for its [FIS R&D] at [SH or NJ]. All production plants with AGV installations require a qualified person to be responsible of the proper functioning of the system as well as certified contact to transversalize the information regarding the AGVs. Duties of position will include:
Maintenance:
• Ability to define corrective maintenance in AGVs.
• Interaction with AGV supplier for remote or in place assistance.
Production:
• Regular management of AGV performance, based on specific KPIs and tracking of incidences (failures, problems, etc.).
• Optimization and improvement of current AGV flows in plant (hardware and software).
• Capitalize the feedback and report best practices with plant and AGV BG Leader.
• Update regularly the BG Leader to transversalize all information referred to installation, problems, future projects, innovations…
Program:
• Define new AGV flows for existing installations in collaboration with production and logistics.
• Participate in the development of new AGV projects as main asset together with supplier and in collaboration with plant engineer.
Continuous improvement:
• Advise and provide technicall assitance to plant and automation PLTE managers to solve problems in the manufacturing process.
• Deliver basic training on AGVs (maintenance and daily problem solving) to operators.
• Improve system conditions with regular feedback.
HSE:
• Ensure that the work with AGVs is carried out safely, respecting the rules and procedures of hygiene and safety marked by the company, and in accordance with the environmental requirements of the plant.
• Communicate possible incidents and emergency situations to the immediate superior responsible.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
• Vocational education in automation/electronics/industrial technology (minimum, advanced level preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience in production in an industrial environment (optional).
• Minimum bi-lingual (English required).
• Knowledge of automation technologies (PLCs, industrial communications, configuration of sensors and field devices, networks…).
• Proactive attitude for learning new technologies and commitment to the process of continue improvement in AGVs logistic systems.
