Accountabilities
The job holder is responsible for delivering repair instructions in accordance with the relevant certification/airworthiness requirements and Airbus process and methods.
The job holder is responsible for developing his/her technical skills as a repair approver.
The job holder is responsible for ensuring delivery performance as per targets in terms of time and quality.
Dimensions
3+ European partner teams to support to;
10+ components to handle;
500+ repair queries per year.
Main activities
Perform analysis of the in-service queries / damage reports in aircraft structure received from airline customers / MRO.
Provide repair solutions focusing on design of repair to ensure all airbus standards and certification requirements, and/or
Perform strength analysis (static and fatigue) on structure repair ensuring the application of relevant Airbus stress methods and tools from a structure strength point of view and prepare the technical documents for approval.
Coordinating with the partner Design Office and In-Service Customer Service and Airtac etc to deliver a solution that meets the customer needs.
Coordinating with other actors on the proposed repair solution considering the implications of Airworthiness regulations, Materials and Processes, Aerodynamic effects and any other function as required.
Support in internal data collection and statistics, regular delivery report preparation.
Supporting continuous technical improvement and innovations initiatives (e.g. (digitalization) of the Daily Repairs team through selected projects.
Contribute to company objectives including CSR and AOS (Airbus Operating System) etc.
Be part of Airbus’s Follow-The-Sun strategy and contribute to global 24/7 customer support.
Outputs
Technical answer and analysis to repair queries.
Stress repair documents to repair queries.
Other relevant repair documents or drawing
Lesson learned regarding structure repair authoring and/or approving.
Regular report to management team.
Personal & interpersonal & Professional skills
Bachelor degree or above in Engineering Degree (Aeronautical is preferable; postgraduate is preferable).
Experience in Aircraft Structures Design or in Strength Analysis, Stress Methods & Principles (static and/or fatigue and damage tolerance).
MRO experience will be a benefit.
Understanding of Airworthiness Requirements in aircraft structure and repair.
Knowledge in materials & relevant manufacturing processes in both metallic and composite used on Aircraft structure.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Proactive working attitude. Good team player.
Familiar with Airbus in-service Manuals and Drawings.
