Responsibility & Job Requirement:
Deliver priority projects contributing to Skin Care DFC’s global growth, as well as other wider business benefits leveraging the China and Global eco-system.
Lead packaging development work for global skin care global innovation programs and have capability to develop end to end packaging designs to meet consumer and business needs.
Collaborate across functional team with global and local packaging partners to develop a global mix and drive sustainability agenda, harmonization program, cost savings and the technical development of new packaging.
Main Accountabilities
Be packaging work stream leader for global innovation and sustainable packaging projects
Interpret the global project brief and determine the project network, required technical development tasks with strong packaging background and self-guidance. Lead technical development activities on daily basis
Responsible to define and design packaging solution for the global innovation project, considering technical input of key deployment countries, supplier capability and the cost target, deliver packaging that meets the required quality / technical standards and delights the consumer/ builds brand love
Lead capability programs that will contribute to achieving Unilever’s sustainability ambitions and commitments
Lead packaging design fit for purpose validation (consumer evaluation, packing testing, line trials, transit trial etc.)
Conduct lab experiments to validate the packaging, including at supplier’s end.
Define and write technical specifications, deliver the global transfer package and providing the sufficient technical support to the deployment teams
Verbally or in writing communicate internally and externally (supplier, agency, the rest of Unilever), e.g. presentation and reports with high quality by themselves

Relevant Experience:
Bachelor or Master Degree in a packaging engineering or polymer material science related areas.
Min 3 years in the packaging development in the beauty and personal care industry experience (preferably in skin care).
Solid technical background for PKG material and manufacturing process
Proven ability to manage packaging related projects.
