Within GP China, as a Buyer, you will perform strategic procurement activities at Airbus China (trans-business entities and trans-divisional).

Accountability
In this role, you will:
- Implement & monitor the procurement strategy defined by the Commodity and the Multi-functional Team (MFT) for the projects you will be in charge of.
- Manage procurement projects, call for tenders (CFT) and contracts in a multidivisional and trans-business entities scope; and ensure procurement delivers on time on quality on cost.
- Act as Strategic Supplier Manager with the sub-commodity strategic suppliers in the region.
- Fulfil business needs and provide added value to the internal customers in compliance with the GP processes and guidelines.
- Contribute to sub-commodity strategy by providing relevant input to the MFT by using available data analytics tools.
- Be accountable for supplier development to meet business needs and maintain good working relationships with all suppliers.
- Be accountable for GP activities in relevant commodities in the business entities under GP shared service scope (GP One-Roof).
- Contribute the procurement processes improvement and best practice.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Driving compliant Airbus GP Processes, and providing Procurement’s rules to the internal customers and ensuring these rules are strictly followed.
- Leading cross-functional project teams, contributing to the control of the demand, challenging and approving the specifications, sourcing and running the CFTs and suppliers’ selection processes.
- Negotiating, establishing and implementing national & trans-business entities frame contracts, and following up these contracts, incl. PR/PO follow up, contract management and reviews, etc.
- Assessing suppliers’ overall performance, monitoring suppliers related KPIs and initiating improvement/recovery actions when necessary.
- Participating in the definition of trans-national / trans-divisional procurement strategies by providing benchmark, costing, “make or buy” analysis and leading end-to- end procurement activities.
- Monitoring savings linked to demand management and procurement performance.
- Acting as GP focal point for assigned functions / business entities; working with GP communities to support smooth business operation.
- Participating and supporting internal and external audits when required; Ensuring the findings are followed up and closed on time on quality.
- Working closely with relevant teams on best practice, process improvement, update and cascading;
- Other tasks assigned by management.
