Job purpose

·      Responsible for developing and executing category strategy for the assigned scope essential to our production and operations. To focus on optimizing costs ensuring supply continuity, managing supplier relationships and mitigating risks within ISC to support business objectives and drive competitive advantage.

·      Implement and realize the strategy for direct/indirect Spend for the category clusters within corporate requirements and guidelines, to ensure results on all KPI’s and contribute to the overall result for Nouryon

·      To lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing procurement strategy for categories as to deliver maximized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings for these assigned categories in line with Nouryon procurement guidelines.

·      To identify and mitigate business risks caused by single source positions and changes in market dynamics, next to create maximal possibilities in implementing Nouryon strategy

·      Agility to the local market pace and reflect with proper adjustment promptly, knowledge of the end-to-end value chain availability of assigned category in APAC,

·      Lead, mentor and develop a capable team.

Key Activities

·      Category strategy: Set up Spovs for the responsible scope, utilizing the sourcing tool. Drive total cost ownership while well balancing quality and service level

·      Supplier relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with critical vendors. Work with operational excellence team to manage supplier performance via OTIF, or quality etc. Conduct regular supplier business review.

·      Risk management: Identical, assess and mitigate risks ( geopolitical, financial, operational, single/sole source) within the supply base. Develop and implement the contingency plans for the critical materials. Ensure compliance with regulations (eg. DG permission, conflict materials) and ethical sourcing standards

·      Contract Management: Draft, negotiate and management contracts so as to ensure contractual terms protect Nouryon’s interest. And ensure the contractual terms application in the daily operation.

·      Cross-functional collaboration：Partner closely with regional business to guarantee the business deliverable. Actively interact with cross functional team to implement category plan ( eg. New product/supplier introduction, risk management )

·      Cost management & budgeting: Track and report the ANT contribution promptly. Accurately contribute to budgeting and forecasting for the responsible categories.

·      Lead, motivate the team to fully align with the required responsibilities.

1. At least 10 years in Procurement or business relevancy
2. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field , in a business related area or industry
3. Competencies

·      Problem solving: Strong critical thinking and proactive problem solving abilities.

·      Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to influence stakeholder at all levels.

·      System: Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP ) or procurement tools (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, WAVE)

·      Skilled in prioritization of tasks with the ability to manage information and data with high accuracy and care

·      Analytical skills: Strong ability to analyze the spend data, market trends…

·      Strong customer focus and organizational skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure to be able adhere to strict deadlines

·     Good presentation skills and ability to analyze data and technical requirements from different angles

·   Fluent in English. Additional languages are an asset.
