JOB PURPOSE:

China is a strategic market for Asia to grow to scale and lead in development of new practices for the region. To accelerate its growth agenda in China, The Magnum Ice Cream Company is looking for top talent to develop the agenda and build Wall’s ice-cream presence in high-growth food-service segments, complementing its successful retail business to get onto the next growth curve for China.
The Ice Cream Away-From-Home (AFH) Channel Lead will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding market presence in the food service sector, including restaurants, cafes, bubble tea shops, bakeries, and hotels. This role involves developing strategic partnerships, increasing product penetration, and maximizing revenue opportunities while ensuring brand alignment and customer satisfaction.
This candidate will lead a team of specialists including Product Marketing, Trade Marketing, and a dedicated sales team. And actively collaborate with shared resources such as R&D, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Business Development & Sales Growth:
Identify and target high potential foodservice accounts (e.g., QSRs, casual dining, specialty dessert shops, hotels) to drive ice-cream product adoption.
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market share on the AFH channel.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (chefs, procurement managers, franchise owners).
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements to maximize profitability.
2.Channel Strategy & Market Expansion:
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
Collaborate with marketing to create tailored promotions, menu concepts, and B2B campaigns. - Identify emerging opportunities in segments like bubble tea chains, artisanal bakeries, and premium hotels.
Identify and work with KOLs/ Chefs to develop social campaigns that drive awareness and conversion of our products.
3.Account Management & Customer Support:
Provide training and support to foodservice partners on product usage, storage, and menu integration.
Ensure consistent supply chain coordination to meet customer demand.
Monitor performance metrics (sell-in, sell out, customer satisfaction) and adjust strategies as needed.
4.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with R&D to adapt products for foodservice needs (e.g., bulk formats, custom flavors).
Partner with supply chain/logistics to ensure timely deliveries and resolve operational issues.
Provide feedback from the field to guide innovation and marketing efforts.
