PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Lead a team in the development of global configurator product models (called ‘KMATs’) and automated submittal drawing models (called ‘Autosub’ or ‘Submittal Models’)
2. As a working Lead, participate in the development and maintenance of KMATs & Autosubs for BAC’s configurable products
3. Document questions, answers, rules, and defaults for all of the options that are being offered for sale, in a product that can physically be manufactured.
4. Collaborate & Coordinate with individuals in other departments (Product Development, Marketing, Manufacturing, and IT) to provide data and testing which is necessary to complete KMATs or Submittal Models and integrate them into the company’s ERP and Sales Management system.
5. Triage and assign break/fix or improvement requests to KMAT and submittal models
6. Motivate the team to work efficiently and maintain high productivity
7. Promote culture of cooperation, collaboration, training, continuous improvement, and having fun
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & BEHAVIORS:
· Education and Experience
1. 5+ years of engineering or systems experience
2. 1+ years experience leading direct reports
3. 1+ years experience working with a tangible product’s Bills of Materials
4. 1+ years experience working with an ERP system (SAP preferred)
5. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, or Computer Science
· Systems & Technical Experience
1. Expert with Microsoft Excel, with a strong ability to manipulate and analyze large quantities of data
2. Experience working with Product Configurators, strongly preferred
3. Knowledge of Engineering programming in VB, C# or Python
4. Proficient with at least one parametric CAD Product (Inventor, Solidworks, etc)
5. Working knowledge of HVAC systems. Knowledge of BAC products, processes and manufacturing operations preferred
· Management & Leadership Experience:
1. Ability to accurately predict the duration of proposed tasks, develop estimates for resources, costs, rough timelines, and risks
2. Some technical project management experience required. Working experience in Agile/Scrum environment preferred
3. Ability to supervise technical staff, assign tasks and small projects to direct reports and contract resources.
4. Ability to effectively facilitate team meetings
5. Ability to identify areas of improvement and develop the strengths needed for a well-balanced skillset & expertise mix within the team
6. Ability to motivate and influence others to prioritize work to support projects/ deliverables to meet commitments

· Communication Experience:
1. Proven record in effective written and oral communication in English
2. Ability to clearly articulate scope of work, the issue or risk with identified impact and proposals for potential path forward
3. Must be able to filter and summarize the raw technical details to a concise message for non-technical team members and or leadership team
4. Able to communicate effectively to promote team’s cohesiveness and motivation
