Grow with us
At Ericsson, we believe that great design enables great performance. As a Radio Enclosure Design Engineer, you will play a key role in developing high-reliability, high-performance mechanical solutions that protect and enable our cutting-edge radio products. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to create mechanical designs that meet stringent requirements for thermal performance, structural integrity, manufacturability, and environmental protection — all while contributing to global wireless network innovation.
This is your chance to shape the look, feel, and durability of the next generation of Ericsson radio units used by operators worldwide.
What You Will Do:
- Design and develop mechanical enclosures for outdoor and indoor radio products, including housing, frames, mounting brackets, and protective features
- Ensure mechanical design meets thermal, structural, ingress protection (IP), EMC shielding, and other system-level requirements
- Perform detailed 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation using CAD tools (e.g., Creo, CATIA, or equivalent)
- Conduct simulations and analysis (thermal, structural, vibration) to validate design performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including RF, hardware, thermal, reliability, and manufacturing engineers
- Support prototyping, design reviews, testing, and transition to mass production
- Drive continuous improvement in product robustness, weight reduction, cost efficiency, and ease of assembly
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., RoHS, IP65/IP66, telecom site requirements)
