Job Description Summary

The main tasks of an EHS Practitioner will typically include the support of local operational management to ensure that:

• Compliance of performed activities is assessed and controlled;
• Risks are properly assessed and controlled;
• Work-related incidents (from near miss to lost time injury and environmental pollutions etc) are investigated effectively;
• Specialist support is requested as required.

Job Description

• The Environment Health and Safety practitioners will have proper EHS qualifications, as requested per local/national laws, and will have a robust knowledge of EHS internal and external requirements (legal, management system standards, EHS policies, etc) in relation to industrial processes and the workplace.
• They will provide direction to the operational management and local safety support teams.
• They will support the implementation of EHS rules, define EHS recommendations, the associated performance monitoring, and ensure they are fully integrated into the local EHS management system.
• They will promote Environment and Health & Safety topics throughout the organization at all levels, and ensure the content relevancy of trainings, awareness campaigns and EHS inductions content.

• Assist in maintaining safety records, documentation, and databases
• Collaborate with the EHS team to develop and update safety procedures and guidelines
• Support the promotion of a safety culture by organising awareness campaigns and educational materials
• Help update training materials and support safety training sessions’ planning and execution 
• Contribute to emergency response plans and drills’ development and implementation 
• Collaborate with various departments to integrate safety measures into operations
• Work closely with EHS professionals to analyse data and trends related to safety metrics, suggest corrective actions and develop report
• To assist HO Beijing Facility Management Operations on relevant Facility Safety topics 
• To take ad-hoc assignments from the HO EHS and Key EHS contributors when necessary
