职位描述

该职位是一个创意领导职位,与创意总监和项目经理合作,实现与故事、场所营造、范围、进度、预算和游客体验交付相关的战略目标。制作人提供领导力和组织技能,负责从概念到开业的游客体验的各个方面,并拥有成功开业项目的过往经验。该职位将负责中等复杂度的项目(包括单个景点/互动体验和/或多个较小景点和设施的整合)到高复杂度的项目(包括具有复杂节目元素的新景点)。

制作人负责阐述、维护、保护和实现创意愿景,同时制定策略以在项目限制内交付。该职位负责项目进度、预算、数字工作流程完整性和游客体验各方面的物理整合。该职位向设计和制作团队提供领导力,并是项目生命周期内(从概念到开业)与项目经理、节目经理、媒体和数字制作人、现场领导层和利益相关者(运营、安全等)的交汇点和协调点。

项目监督与战略价值:

与创意总监、演出布景经理和项目经理合作,确定战略和优先事项。

提供项目范围资源计划、预算、估算和进度的输入。

领导项目团队,指导制作方法和创意交付成果,通过设计的各个方面,从概念到开业,通过协调、整合和优先处理来自不同学科的多个输入,确保游客体验的发展,同时维护创意愿景的完整性。

建立和管理项目各层级的强有效沟通渠道。在所有团队成员和各学科之间传达、阐述、澄清和维护项目意图。

与项目团队合作,并根据公司的问责标准,在项目生命周期内有效拥有和管理创意预算和进度。

与项目经理和节目经理合作,负责在项目的每个阶段评估、管理和实施“价值”决策,以使预算和进度与高质量创意产品保持一致。

与数字制作人和数字管道开发人员合作,他们建立项目的数字制作方法,以实现创意目标,并与其他数字学科和利益相关者合作,包括但不限于视频媒体、音频媒体、特效、人物动画、节目编程、节目系统架构、节目灯光、节目布景和乘坐设施。

The Staff Show Producer is a Creative Leadership Position which partners with the Creative Director and Project Manager to achieve strategic objectives related to story, place-making, scope, schedule, budget and delivery of the guest experience. The Staff Show Producer provides the leadership, and organizational skills to produce all aspects of a guest experience from concept to opening and possesses past credentials of successfully opening projects. This position will lead projects of moderate complexity (which can include a single attraction/interactive experience and/or the integration of multiple smaller attractions and facilities) to high complexity (which includes a new attraction with complex show elements.)

 

The Staff Show Producer is responsible to articulate, maintain, protect and enable the creative vision while developing strategies to deliver within the project constraints. This position holds schedule, budget, digital workflow integrity, and physical integration responsibilities across all aspects of the guest experience. The Staff Show Producer provides leadership to the design and production team and is the intersection and coordination point with Project Management, Show Managers, Media and Digital Producers, Site Leadership and Stakeholders (operations, safety, etc.) throughout the project life cycle, from Blue Sky through Opening.

 

This is a leadership and management position that requires strong leadership, decision-making, communication, and conflict resolution abilities. This role must demonstrate creative thinking and development credentials, understanding of digital design and production methodologies, expertise directing and integrating disciplines across studios, as well as the broad knowledge required to align a large, interdisciplinary team around the production and execution of the assigned guest experience.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight & Strategic Value:

o Partner with Creative Director, Show Manager, and Project Manager to determine the strategy and priorities.

o Provide input into project-wide resource plans, budgets, estimates and schedules.

o Lead project team, directing production methods and creative deliverables, through all aspects of design, from Blue Sky through Opening by orchestrating, assimilating and prioritizing multiple inputs from assorted disciplines, assuring the development of the

guest experience while maintaining the integrity of creative vision.

o Establish and manage strong, effective lines of project communication at all levels. Communicate, articulate, clarify, and maintain project intent among all team-members and across all disciplines.

o Effectively own and manage creative budgets and schedules throughout the project life cycle in collaboration with Project Team and according to company’s accountability standards.

o In partnership with the Project Manager & Show Manager, responsible to assess, manage, and implement the “value” decisions at each stage of the project, to align budget and schedule with a quality creative product.

o Partner with the Digital Producer and Digital Pipeline Developer as they establish the digital production methodology of the project in service of the creative goals and in collaboration with other digital disciplines and stakeholders, including but not limited to Video Media, Audio Media, SFX, Figure Animation, Show Programming, Show Systems Architecture, Show Lighting, Show Set, and Ride.

o Partner with the Digital Producer and Tech Studio Leadership to outline key creative schedule milestones for targeted artistic toolset needs and strategic planning through each phase of production.

o Able to think through options clearly and objectively and advise leadership on impacts.

o Serve as a "watch guard" when operational, financial, or marketing considerations may affect creative content and direction.

o In specific instances, the Staff Show Producer will be assigned as a special programming producer leading a unique scope of work outside the typical guest experience design and production model (i.e., producing the planning, strategy and communication efforts

on a broad scope of work, producing multi-level presentations, producing blue sky presentations, etc.)

 

• Leadership:

o Serve as leader on all project issues that affect creative product with responsibility to inform and affect decision-making.

o Set clear direction and manage expectations to all project team members, disciplines and studios.

o Drive team for results. Anticipate and resolve conflict on both project and personnel issues. Guide and inspire working teams through all phases of the project life cycle.

o Advise and influence senior management in decision-making regarding complex issues. Ensure final direction is accepted and implemented.

o Demonstrate situational flexibility, anticipate challenges and adjust approach to reach balanced, positive outcomes to maintain and realize creative concept.

• Casting:

o Recognize, cast and manage diverse talent across disciplines.

o Identify and select creative vendors/consultants. Support the Show Manager with selection of show vendors and the negotiations of vendor/consultant agreements as they relate to project scope and quality.

o Identify, supervise, mentor, and train junior staff.

• Proven production experience managing a multi-faceted creative product pipeline including budget, schedule, feasibility, creative development, research, fabrication, installation, risk management, and mitigation.

• Thorough knowledge of creative process and deliverables expectations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead others to execute creative vision, insure team engagement and resolve conflict.

• Knowledge of complex show theatrical technologies: lighting, special effects, media, etc.

• Familiarity integrating and developing shows around ride system and immersive technology.

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written skills.

• Computer understanding and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, Photoshop

• Solid understanding of digital media technologies, processes, toolsets, vocabulary, CG production pipelines, and of the different digital disciplines within attractions and resorts.

• Understanding of 2D and 3D software and design packages such as: Sketch Up, Maya, Revit, Rhino, Solid works, Unreal, Photoshop, and Bluebeam

• Familiarity with Shotgun software.

• BA/ BS/ MFA in theater, film, design, or entertainment preferred
