Job Description Summary
Understand the overall stress environment for a system/ sub-system/ components/ functional chain (an element of a marketed solution)/ equipment architecture, for analysis/testing to provide verification and validation.
Understand and characterize the environment where the system/ sub-system/ components/ functional chain (an element of a marketed solution)/ equipment is located.
Perform detailed analysis in CAD/CAM or (software) implementation on component/ equipment/ mechanical/ software level to the specifications required.
Supply outputs to support planning, organization and execution of testing, verification and validation.
Job Description
Ability to understand static, Fatigue & damage (F&DT) tolerance calculation within metallic & composites structure.
F&DT Methods applied to design characteristics, e.g. Inspection intervals, load spectrum.
Verification of forecasted F&DT stress values vs tests.
Utilize Standard F&DT tools & techniques.
Perform Analysis of damaged structure.
Ability to analyze and validate Metal &/or Composites / Hybrids structures at component level for static strength, F&DT and produce relevant strength margins or reserve factors according to validated and applicable Airbus methods & sizing processes.
Ability to provide stress analyses for the repair/acceptance of Metal and/or Composite / Hybrids damaged structures.
Ability to describe a system by using mathematical representations. e.g. Matlab or Mathematica.
Ability to understand and integrate technologies in the domain of Metallic material and processes and in the domain of Composite Material ( …including polymers and textiles. failure criteria & allowable ).
