Job Description Summary

Sourcing & Logistic Finance Manager supports business in achieving optimal performance (cost, fulfillment, quality, cash) and profitability through supply chain and project execution. Own GE Healthcare China sourcing and logistic cost reduction, budget control and productivity improvement, including, but not limited to, commercial and supply chain’s direct and indirect procurement, as well as logistics cost saving.

Duties include (but are not limited to)

1. Partner closely with CN region Sourcing and Logistics Senior leadership in driving productivity, deflation and cash flow optimization. Responsible for procurement analysis and indicator reporting, such as direct material deflation, import and export logistics costs, tariffs, etc.

2. Deep understanding of key business drivers; Use this understanding to do the job. Explain internal and external business challenges and suggest best practices to reduce or optimize costs, such as participating in the raw material local procurement, the identifying of business opportunities, reducing logistics costs (import materials by sea, export equipment by rail, etc.), and quantifying the financial benefits, etc.

3. Use financial technical expertise and judgment to solve problems. Utilize the technical skills and analytical thinking needed to solve problems.

4. Guide others to creative solutions to complex problems that may impact the organization. Ability to assess the quality of the information received and question contradictory data for analysis. Use a variety of internal resources and external resources outside of your own functionality to help make decisions.

5. Mature interpersonal skills. May lead cross functional teams or projects with moderate resource needs, risk, and/or complexity. Provide business solutions to senior leadership in functional areas. Exchange complex messages and consult with others, mainly internally, to take different perspectives. Influence colleagues and motivate them to take actions.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration and 3 years’ supply chain finance work experience.

2. Proper analytic skills: able to link financial results to operational performance drivers.

3. Good verbal & written communication skills: fluency in English; experience working across multiple levels, functions and businesses; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner.

4. Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, BOXI, Spotfire, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation.

Preferred Qualifications

1. CPA is preferred.

2. Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams.

3. Adaptable/Flexible: being open to changes in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.

4. Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others.
