Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of GBS Non-Trade Procurement tactical buy team, managing performance, driving savings, and supporting strategic sourcing planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations within GBS Non-Trade Procurement tactical buy team
• Lead GBS NTP Tactical Buy team buyers in accordance with the adidas management principles to support the organization’s overall leadership focus on performance and talent management, values, management and self-management practices
• Lead pipeline build up and execution, develop saving plan at category level to drive savings, and support strategic sourcing planning with global /regional category managers
• Fully understand NTP category card, and make sure the utilization of category card within the team in daily sourcing activities.
• Develop a broad sourcing knowledge base and knowledge sharing within the team
• Improve and implement standard operating procedures to enable improved conformity in the regional GBS NTP team.
Drive improvements of GBS Non-Trade Procurement tactical buy team
• Provide solid reports on performance in each area, actively participate in the identification of issues and required root cause analysis in collaboration with the respective stakeholders, and support the definition and realization of improvement plans required
• Support the Procurement Excellence in defining and improving standards and reusable approaches within a broad operational framework focusing on customer satisfaction, user compliance and process performance
• Manage relationship with procurement internal customers to review GBS Procurement performance, KPIs, SLAs and to agree on joint improvement actions
• Define actions to support the planning process and facilitate smooth cooperation with Group, Market, and Country Procurement teams
• Demonstrate and deepen awareness of new technological solutions for sourcing activities
Key Relationships:
• Internal: global procurement SVP, reginal NTP leads, global /regional procurement team/category managers, key business stakeholder functions (Marketing, IT, HR, Retail, Logistics, Legal, Finance, etc)
• External: Suppliers & Agencies: Executives, Key Account Managers & Legal Council
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Rich knowledge in sourcing and procurement processes, methodologies and concepts, business partnering and category management (7 steps strategic sourcing, Fact based Negotiations, etc.)
• Experiences on how to develop procurement category strategy and build up pipeline via spend analytics and workshop together with business stakeholders
• Familiar with procurement tools and content (eSourcing, e-catalogues, buying channels, etc.)
• Proven ability to build, lead, manage and develop tactical buy team and its members into an effective team to drive achievement of saving objectives
• Excellent problem-solving skills and capable to propose business recommendations and decisions
• Well established knowledge and experience in projects and process management
• Good knowledge of change management, shaping and applying change management methods to facilitate and adopt the change
• Excellent analytical, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
• Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, finance, procurement, engineering or legal, or comparable professional education
• 8+ years’ professional experience in a similar functional domain or other related positions, with knowledge of category / market at hand; experience with supplier selection, negotiation and contracting
• 2+ years’ experiences in pipeline development and execution
• 3+ years’ experiences in managing and leading teams with size of 20+ team-members
• A recognized qualification in process management / improvement (e.g. Six Sigma) would be considered an asset
