Majoring in chemical engineering, analytical science, chemistry, polymer chemistry and physics, material science, polymer science, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, mechanical design and modeling

Headquartered in China, Dow Asia Pacific R&D is the innovation powerhouse that develops cutting-edge technologies and applications to support business growth across the region. The organization is comprised of three units: Core R&D, Application Development and Technical Service & Development.  

-Core R&D

Focuses on the development of molecular structures, new materials and processes, as well as the exploration of cutting-edge experimental methods. Responsible for the fundamental research across business units. It consists of Analytical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Formulation Science, Materials Science, Materials Processing and Materials Engineering Center

-Business R&D

Focuses on the research and development of new products within one of our business units. It is the key part of transferring our scientific research into products

Opened in 2009 in the Zhangjiang High-Tech Park in Shanghai, SDC is the business and innovation hub for Dow in the Asia Pacific. The center has more than 400 highly skilled scientists working in over 100 world-class laboratories.
