- Provides day-to-day leadership for a team of professionals within the COE East related to scouting technology & establishing partnerships.

- Influences the development of Policies and Procedures

- Manages Global suppliers and purchasing responsibility for new technology, products, ingredients and services

- Highly complex agreements related to Intellectual Property & new technologies/innovation

- Transformational position in which technologies, products, ingredients & services being sourced are highly significant and/or complex to the business and have never been sourced before. The supply chain does not exist.

- Leads highly complex projects & programs in area of specialty

- Requires expert knowledge of external markets and procurement mastery and applies it to most complex products and/or new products -- often having to work to create the supply chain

- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business

- 8 - 10 years progressive sourcing experience with significant experience working with R&D and corporate development groups to identify, vet and commercialize new product technologies.

- Specific career focus/exposures in the Nutrition and/or Beauty industries with start-up experience desired.

- Experience partnering or working with R&D organizations scouting and developing new technologies, products, ingredients or services.

- Experience scouting, sourcing and developing relationships in the TCM , botanical and herbal markets.

- Proven strategic business planning, visioning and execution skills.

- Fluent in English and Mandarin.

- Broad experience developing comprehensive supply agreements and managing complex business transactions.

- Proven ability to interact well with and influence across all functional/organizational levels.

- Proven selling, negotiation and influencing skills and ability to align global stakeholders.

- Expertise in engaging and partnering in Venture Capital & Startup communities

- Expertise in dealing & building relationships with universities, professors and research scientists.
