Purpose of the position:

Develop Meetings & Events sales and contribution to meet “Forward APAC” Business Plan Ambition to double topline by 2022 in China Mainland (50% Club Med Joyview Village / 50% Premium Village)

Operation missions:

Mission 1 : Design and implement Meetings & Events sales & marketing strategies and plans across Destinations (CN ML and Overseas), across Product Lines (CM JV and CM PAI);

- Collect information on market, clients and product of the M&E business

Run strategic analysis to contribute to the definition of M&E country strategic plan (product, client priorities, roles of distribution channels)

- Build efficient commercial action plan : product training, incentives, special offers, Famils in line with the segmentation, co-marketing actions

- Recommend an annual marketing and promotional plan on all disciplines (media, CRM, brochures) to support the M&E long term strategy and the business objectives

- Drive the implementation of the plan and supervise the M&E operations: application of corporate procedures, process G&I, trip organisation.

- Communicate specific and regular reporting to the coordination

- Build and monitor M&E budget (including marketing costs and Famils)

- Participate in the country budget construction

- Provide and analyse weekly & monthly financial reporting and forecast

Mission 2 : Build a massive prospection machine by driving WORKTAINMENT USP, implementing an ambitious MICE Marketing plan and diversifying the product lines (sports camps, weddings, etc);

- Identify appropriate clients based on a relevant segmentation strategy

- Manage the portfolio of customers and proposals

- Build a sales call plan linked to M&E priorities and key KPIs

- Take prospects and clients to Resorts / site inspection when needed

- Participate in M&E events if relevant

Mission 3 : Manage commercial and contractual relations with Key Accounts, with a specific focus on RAV clients;

- Elaborate contracts according to local laws and sales conditions

- Negotiate commission levels with agents

- Ensure the full payment of clients and end of month closing in line with Finance Dept requirements and regulations

- Alert the Sales Manager or Country Manager in case of problem

Mission 4 : Lead MICE Production team, ensure swift and efficient liaison with Village Teams (CM JV and CM PAI), and collaborate closely with the Operation and Development teams to design the most appealing MICE product and services

- To be the point of contact for the CN liaising directly with Regional Sales, IT and other parties (incl. gMDT)

- Responsible for updating the team on all changes and collating feedback from the team to improve efficiency and user experience

Mission 5 : Champion Salesforce & Sales Navigator and equip the teams with the most impactful sales and trade marketing tools; CN ML representative for WW Mice Sales Team

- Participate and provide input to the Weekly FIT/ MICE Sale Meeting

- Strong communication and weekly update meeting with SH RM team

Mission 6 : Build and lead MICE Commercial Team and develop their capability & competencies in partnership with HR team

- Show strong leadership on team management, engage every team member

- Build up a strong performance driven culture within the team

- Lead and conduct annual performance assessments the team

- Integrate and accompany new G.O

- Identify learning needs, coaching and mentoring team members


- Responsible for the CN ML BV and sales contribution budget set-up & achievement

- Responsible for the G&I channel cashed-in BV and P&L

- Be responsible for business development and deal signatures

Performance KPIs:

Number of groups. Number of new clients versus existing clients

BV STS + Total cashed BV growth

Stake KPIs:

Number of groups; BV groups;Sales calls plan

Reports to : APAC Markets CEO


Education : Business school, level in accounting or financial field

Job experience : 3 to 5 years experience in Sales or Mkg field, experience of Club Med is a plus

Knowledge : Club Med range of services and products, B to B and/or B to C sales conditions, CMB policy, MICE market.

Skills : Team management skills (evaluation, coaching, development), able to empower others (decision making, leadership), act in line with the Group and BU strategy, anticipating, client oriented, argumentative skills, organisation skills.

Technical skills (tools) : Word, Excel, Powerpoint, NA,, WorkPlace, LinkedIn Navigator, Qlikview

Languages : English, Chinese-Mandarin

Behaviour : Entrepreneurial spirit, persistent & demanding, open-minded, team player.
