1) Working with Ipsos RDA staff to learn the Quality Study program scope and background, including the sample plan, survey design, data calculations, and reporting website functionality. This background knowledge will provide context to assist with client and Ipsos RDA communications.
2) Participating in communications between client and Ipsos RDA. The employee will be asked to translate emails and participate in conference calls with client in China and Ipsos RDA in US in order to provide live translations. We estimate approximately 2 conference calls and several emails per week. The client is also expecting this person to participate in face-to-face meetings at the client's office, so you will need to be confident in group meetings.
3) Assisting client's staff to learn how to use the project reporting website and responding to client's questions about the data depicted within the website. Initially, this employee will need to work with Ipsos RDA to learn how to answer these questions, but eventually, this person will need to be proficient to answer most questions independently. We estimate several questions per week, communicated via email or face-to-face meetings. Note that the reporting website is very sophisticated, so this person will need to be capable of working with data and even have a base knowledge of research statistics.
4) Contributing knowledge of the China auto industry. The client is eager for the local support person to assist them in interpreting the research data and how it relates to the China customer needs. Consequently, this person should be experienced with data analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree
English – reading & conversational
Ability and willingness to travel within China and occasionally to Detroit
Ideally located in Guangzhou
The ideal candidate will have some experience in either the automotive or market research industry, not a hard requirement
