On January 8, 2021, the “2021 MOMENTUM China Conference” was successfully held at the Jumeirah Hyatt Hotel, Chongming, Shanghai.

On January 8, 2021, the “2021 MOMENTUM China Conference” was successfully held at the Jumeirah Hyatt Hotel, Chongming, Shanghai. Hosted by MoSeeker, this grand event brought together HR leaders from more than 100 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises, including Bosch, Yum China, Mars, and Accenture. The conference assembled the most influential HR leaders from across the industry, covering over 20 industries and encompassing 12 cutting-edge human resources topics. In collaboration with the AUCA (American Universities’ China Association), the conference surveyed over 20,000 overseas students and released the “2021 Most Attractive Employers for Chinese Overseas Students” list.

Shi Lei, Director of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau of Shanghai’s Chongming District, delivered the opening speech at the conference. He stated: “Human resources are the primary drivers of economic and social development. Effective human resources management is crucial to the growth and success of enterprises. With the advancement of technology, the management of human resources has undergone great changes. Digitalization, artificial intelligence, and 5G technologies are increasingly integrated into human resources management. Advanced HR technologies can play an active role in stabilizing employment and ensuring economic security.”

In the post-pandemic era, digitalization has permeated every aspect of corporate human resources management, and an increasing number of HR tech products are emerging. This trend has prompted many Chief Human Resources Officers to engage in deep reflection.

The conference took an in-depth look at more than a dozen hot topics, including talent attraction and empowerment under internet strategies, digital innovation journeys in HR, and the current landscape of personal information protection in mobile network applications. By combining on-site sessions with online broadcasts, the event explored the future trends of HR management in the post-pandemic era, disseminated the latest and most authoritative HR industry information, and stimulated professional interaction and exchange within the field.

Professor Wei Ru Chen from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) shared his insights on strategic organizational transformation in the age of digital intelligence, inspiring attendees to formulate better business strategies. He noted, “The development of digitalization has transformed the business model of this industry and reduced much of the waste of social resources.”

Ms. Li Xiaohong, Board Member and Executive Vice President of Bosch China, observed: “Human resources encompasses many aspects. We shouldn’t be confined within our own ‘systems’; we need to look beyond the ‘system’ and see the people.”

Mr. Yuan Yaozong, Chief Human Resources Officer of Yum China, believes: “Data combined with intelligence is the most critical integration point for improving the efficiency of all future systems. We should let data find people, not people find data. During organizational transformation, I hope our HR team can become agile innovators and efficient drivers, leading the way into the future.”

In the dialogue between HR professionals and recruitment specialists empowered by AI, human resource leaders put forward a dizzying array of viewpoints regarding AI as a new highlight in current development. All participants agreed that there is an increasing need for digital talents within human resource organizations to enhance the overall organizational efficiency and drive innovation.

During the afternoon discussion, HR directors from enterprises including SPD Silicon Valley Bank, Dongyuan Group, Schneider, BeiGene, Chanel, TE Connectivity, Aramark China, Coca-Cola, Accor Group, Osram, Covestro China, Visa, Nokia, GDS, PepsiCo, and Air Liquide France engaged in in-depth conversations and discussions on topics such as the future organizational structure and talent challenges, candidate experience in the era of digital intelligence, future-oriented employer branding, and the recruitment of overseas students in the post-pandemic era.

In an era where everything is becoming more digitally intelligent, while upgrading products, it is necessary to further elevate the candidate experience. Chief Human Resource Officers (CHROs) stated that despite differences in corporate cultures, digitalization and humanization coexist universally.

Amid the overseas pandemic context, the job search of international student talents and even the entire recruitment field have encountered unprecedented challenges. In the post-pandemic era, both HR practitioners and international student candidates have shown great attention to the recovery of the overseas recruitment environment and its subsequent development. Industry experts delivered speeches focusing on “Overseas International Student Recruitment in the Post-Pandemic Era”, introducing various innovative talent concepts and efficient approaches to accelerate technological transformation.

In the evening, Ms. Huang Weihong, Chief Human Resources Officer of Accenture Greater China, delivered a keynote speech titled Accelerating Digital Transformation: How Talents and Organizations Adapt to New Changes. She pointed out, “Leading enterprises, relying on their more comprehensive accumulation of digital capabilities, responded effectively during the pandemic and even turned crises into opportunities.”

Subsequently, the Award Ceremony of the MOMENTUM China Conference, along with the release of the 2021 China’s Most Attractive Employers for International Students List and the gala dinner, was held grandly.

At the award ceremony, AUCA (American Universities China Association) and MoSeeker jointly released the 2021 China’s Most Attractive Employers for International Students List (Ranks 1-100). In addition, awards were presented including the Top 10 in Social Recruitment of MOMENTUM Awards, Top 10 in Employer Branding of MOMENTUM Awards, Top 10 in AI Recruitment of MOMENTUM Awards, Top 20 of the 2021 China’s Most Attractive Employers for International Students List, Top 5 of the “Potential Employers” in the 2021 China’s Most Attractive Employers for International Students List, as well as the Top 5 Employers in industries such as finance, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), retail, manufacturing & chemical engineering, consulting services, pharmaceuticals, and technology.

The successful holding of the first “MOMENTUM China Conference” was a grand event featuring the collision of top-tier ideas in the human resources field.
