How can AI help enterprises boost productivity, drive profound industrial transformation, and enable intelligent digital development? How are members of the “second generation” of entrepreneurs upholding the spirit and values established by their predecessors? On November 5th, the “Creating the Future Together in Shanghai” Global Promotion Event and 2024 Chinese Young Entrepreneurs Roundtable, themed “Technological Innovation Leading New Quality Productive Forces,” took place in Shanghai. Five young entrepreneurs and scientists from around the world engaged in a roundtable dialogue on youth innovation and entrepreneurship from a global perspective.

How is artificial intelligence revolutionizing scientific research, truly enhancing productivity, and helping humanity live better lives? Professor Ouyang Wanli, lead scientist at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, noted that AI is transforming multidisciplinary research paradigms with efficiency multiplied tens, thousands, or even millions of times compared to the past. For example, using AI algorithms to assist in global weather forecasting is one application of “AI for Science.”
The agribusiness sector is the primary investment focus for Charoen Pokphand Group in China. As a strategic player, CP Biosciences specializes in the R&D, production, and sale of additive compound premix feeds and concentrated feeds, as well as providing biotechnology promotion services.
Wang Xiangdao, Chairman of Shanghai MoSeeker Network Technology Co., Ltd., who previously led HR management and marketing at several Fortune 500 companies, believes talent acquisition is the key driver for enterprise development. His team is dedicated to leveraging AI to build a new, more efficient and higher-quality model for modern talent recruitment.
Wang shared that relying on traditional recruitment sites yields poor results, delivering a conversion rate of only about 1% for companies. “Enterprises receive a large number of resumes every day. Manually screening these with traditional methods is extremely labor intensive, and identifying suitable candidates is challenging.” In the era of AI, companies should harness AI to unlock comprehensive talent database resources and find candidates who precisely match their needs.
Wang Xiangdao remarked that AI-powered interviews are already being used in practice—large language models can summarize interviews, assess the interviewee’s facial expressions, and even determine whether their answers hit the key points. “People will gradually get used to the age of AI. Perhaps in the future, it will become standard for companies to use AI interviews at the initial stage of the recruitment process.”
The Paper also noted that MoSeeker was among the first to introduce the concept of “WeChat recruitment” in the industry, with Wang Xiangdao leading his team in launching AI-driven video interview platforms and other digital recruitment solutions. Since 2022, MoSeeker has been working to build a professional social network for China’s 900 million-strong workforce, aiming to fill the gap in this area within China. Wang said, “Through AI technology, we hope to build a more powerful, home-grown professional social network in China, connecting job seekers with opportunities, and also bridging overseas talent with China to help build a nation strong in talent.”
Achieving high-quality development requires a healthy cycle among education, technology, and talent. Gao Bo, Executive Chairman of the Hong Kong Young Scientists Association, emphasized that as a crucial link between mainland China and Hong Kong for talent exchange, the association will better connect technology resources from Hong Kong, mainland China, and beyond, providing comprehensive social resources for tech entrepreneurs and professionals. “Today, more and more quality projects are gravitating toward China. We will connect outstanding projects and talent, foster exchange and sharing, promote resource integration, and unite wisdom from China and around the world, driving industry conversion and technological innovation—to better serve the country’s economic and social development.”
