Bosch China Harnesses AI Interviews and Local ATS to Select Top Talent and Unify Channels

MoSeeker’s products and solutions support Bosch China’s social recruitment efforts. Currently, Bosch employs over 55,000 people in China, making it a vast operation where recruitment volume and quality are critical to ongoing business success—yet its HR department faces many of the “usual pains” common to large multinationals:  

 

  • Bosch recruiters in China have always followed headquarters protocols by using the global ATS. However, the global ATS system does not fully adapt to China’s unique recruitment landscape, lacking compatibility with major local job portals, which complicates resume collection and screening and negatively impacts recruitment efficiency;
  • To support business growth, Bosch needs to recruit large numbers of engineers, but traditional interviews are manpower-intensive, time-consuming, and resource-heavy, creating significant cost pressures for the company;
  • Inconsistent evaluation standards among interviewers is another common issue in large-scale recruitment—given the number of candidates, interviewers have limited time for each individual, which can lead to bias, misjudgment, or subjective decisions, undermining fairness and resulting in the loss of top talent.

Solution

 

1. Channel Integration and System Synchronization

 

With the introduction of the MoSeeker ATS recruitment management system, Bosch achieved seamless integration with its global HCM system, enabling one-click job synchronization. The system connects directly to major domestic recruitment channels, including WeChat, making it easy to post jobs across platforms and efficiently collect candidate resumes.

2. Building a Highly Automated AI Interview System

 

In collaboration with Bosch, MoSeeker developed an end-to-end solution based on its AI interview product, establishing standardized AI interview processes and assessment frameworks that unify interview standards and procedures. Recruiters from different departments can easily customize interview questions—mixing video and written responses—to create over 40 distinct “test sets”. Engineer candidates complete the entire interview independently, with no manual intervention, and the AI system provides comprehensive scores for recruiters’ reference. Data collected during interviews can be analyzed by relevant personnel to identify a candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, supporting informed decision-making.

Impact

 

  • Achieved unified resume collection, significantly reducing HR workload, speeding up recruitment operations, and shortening the overall recruitment cycle;
  • AI interviews ensure consistent evaluation and can automatically, rapidly, and in bulk handle initial candidate screening, minimizing unnecessary manual involvement and subjective bias. By July 2024, Bosch recruiters had conducted nearly 1,000 interviews using the AI interview system, efficiently completing screenings and saving substantial time;
  • The adoption of these technologies marks an important step in Bosch’s recruitment digital transformation, boosting recruitment effectiveness and quality while ensuring fairness and consistency, and ultimately enhancing candidates’ overall experience.

Together, Carlsberg and MoSeeker developed an automated AI interview system that allows immediate interview creation and invitation once a candidate submits their application. Upon completion, the system evaluates candidates multidimensionally using both general and role-specific competency models.
