Role Overview
The role is responsible for sourcing bulk materials within assigned categories, implementing category strategies, and ensuring cost-effective procurement aligned with company policies. The role focuses on supplier management and purchasing execution to achieve optimal pricing, quality, and on-time delivery. The position collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and supports the development and execution of global/regional strategies.
Key Tasks
• Developing sourcing strategies within assigned categories
• Selecting/qualifying / developing suppliers within assigned categories (Static/Rotating/Package Units/E&I/Piping)
• Establishing strategic supplier relationships in selected categories
• Execute equipment purchasing of assigned categories in cooperation with internal counterparts
• Carry out procurement processes with suppliers
• Commercial negotiation with suppliers
• Concluding contracts commercially and administratively
• Perform key supplier performance evaluation
Key Responsibilities
• Category management
• Develop regional category strategy based on business demands and global alignment
• Implement and adapt category strategy into purchasing execution
• Keep market intelligence actively
• Perform category analysis in a professional way
• Supplier management
• Identify/pre-evaluate new suppliers
• Maintain/update supplier info systematically
• Initiate and lead supplier audit/qualification/disqualification
• Regular supplier performance evaluation
• Perform regular supplier data analysis
• Handle ad-hoc supplier related issues
• Procurement execution
• Purchase as per procurement policy and process/procedures in a compliance way
• Lead or support supplier list based on actual demands
• Perform activities from RFQ to contracting including inquiry, bid evaluation, commercial and contract T&C negotiations to ensure most benefits for company
• Perform contract closeout and claims settlement.
