Develop a strong understanding of The Walt Disney Company’s overall Enterprise Social Responsibilty objectives and iniatives, local community needs and relevant local government policies and iniatives and leverage this knowledge to ensure alignment and compliance.
Develop a strong network with leadership in the NGO community in China.
Partner across the Disney Experiences segment as well as with external organizations to ensure best practices of Internal Communications, Citizenship and Community Relations.
Develop budgets for the Internal Communications, Citizenship and Community Relations departments.
Lead and develop a team of talented individuals of Internal Communications, Citizenship and Community Relations, implementing day to day work to support site level strategic objectives.
Maintain strong working relationships with leaders across the Resort.
Develop a comprehensive Internal Communications strategies and ensure that all strategies are integrated with Disney Experiences partners, including Operations, Human Resources and other relevant lines of business.
Ensure the communications strategy meet the needs of Shanghai Disney Resort Cast Members, and remain relevant to the changing dynamics of how people and organizations communicate. Act as a subject matter expert/consultant for Operations leadership by assisting in the strategy of communication campaigns.
Understand proper application and guidelines for the use of nomenclature, grammar, graphics and the product/name to ensure all communication pieces reflect Legal and Labor Relations guidelines.
Ensure the highest standard in language quality in Chinese and English spoken and written language communication.
Develop and manage community relations and corporate citizenship strategies, campaigns, processes and vehicles that support the corporate citizenship objectives of Shanghai Disney Resort both internally and externally.
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS Communications, Public Affairs, Corporate Social Responsbility, Liberal Arts or equivalent.
10+ years experience in Corporate Internal Communications, Corporate External Communications or Corporate Social Responsibility, preferably in a leadership capacity
Knowledge of Disney, including Park operations, policies and procedures
Deep knowledge of the socio-economic environment in China, especially related to enviromental issues and marginalized peoples and communities.
Strong knowledge of the NGO community in China and familiarity with Public-Private Parternship engagement. Directr employment experience in an NGO would be an asset, either on a paid or voluntary basis.
