Position Overview and Strategic Importance
The Senior Business Planning & Supply Chain Manager for Chloe China will serve as a pivotal role responsible for driving the brand's strategic direction and operational excellence across all Chinese markets.
This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in luxury retail and market-specific business planning. The role will directly report to the Managing Director for China while working closely with Chloe's global headquarters to ensure alignment with international brand standards and local market adaptability.
The incumbent will be tasked with translating brand vision into actionable China-specific strategies that leverage physical retail excellence, digital innovation, and localized customer engagement approaches.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate exceptional strategic acumen combined with deep knowledge of Chinese consumer behavior, digital ecosystem dynamics, and luxury retail trends. Based in Shanghai, the role may require travel to various Chinese regions.
Key Responsibilities and Core Functions
· Strategic Planning and Business Development
· Market Strategy Formulation: Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies for Chloe China that align with global objectives while addressing local market dynamics. This includes identifying growth opportunities, potential partnerships, and market expansion possibilities.
· Strategic Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a detailed strategic roadmap with clear milestones, performance indicators, and resource allocation plans. Establish processes for regular review and adaptation of strategies based on market feedback and performance data .
· Cross-Functional : Coordinate resources across departments including marketing, retail & retail operations, e-commerce, merchandising to ensure aligned execution of business strategies. Serve as the primary escalation point for resolving conflicts in priorities, goals, and resource allocation .
Performance Analysis and Data-Driven
· KPI Development and Monitoring: Establish comprehensive performance metrics tailored to the Chinese market context. Implement regular reporting mechanisms to track progress against strategic objectives and initiate corrective actions when needed .
· Market Intelligence: Conduct ongoing analysis of consumer trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics in the Chinese luxury sector. Translate insights into actionable business recommendations .
· Financial Planning Integration: Work closely with finance teams to develop accurate forecasts, budgets, and resource allocation models that support strategic initiatives while ensuring profitability targets are met .
Supply Planning Excellence
· To ensure that optimum level of inventory is maintained to serve all sales channels, whilst minimizing out of stock and overstock.
· Take an analytical planning approach for inventory levels.
· Manage planning metrics to secure service level at SKU level.
· Closely monitor On-Time-In-Full supply status of novelties and top sellers by fulfilment measurement. Co-work with HQ distribution planning team for any potential risks that could be foreseen.
Inventory Management
· Oversee China holistic inventory and maintain accurate stock levels at categories/Sub-categories/SKU level.
· Take corresponding actions to minimize excessive and obsolete stock to optimize inventory quality.
Stakeholder Engagement:
· Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, HQ teams, retail partners who are crucial to Chloe's brand presence in China .
· Change Management: Develop strategies to maintain brand relevance while preserving core identity and values .

REQUIREMENTS
· University Degree;
· Min. 8 years of Business planning working experience. If have supply chain related working experience is a plus.
· Min. 5 years’ of people management experience.
· Strong strategic thinking. Good in analytical skills and interpersonal skills, organized and detail oriented.
· Good in both oral and written communications (Chinese & English)
· Ability to work under pressure
