MAIN PURPOSE
The Event Director is a creative and strategic leader responsible for the end-to-end creation and execution of all Maison events outside of retail touchpoints.
This role requires a profile with an impeccable aesthetic, a profound understanding of the luxury landscape and an unwavering commitment to perfection.
Develop Cartier’s Image, Identity and Reputation in China by translating the Maison’s DNA into immersive, multi-sensory events that will resonate at national and international level – from Image building events [product launches], Brand booths during local fairs, to large scale High Jewelry events and galas.
Responsible for conducting a constant competitive venue scouting and providing a proactive curation of nationwide exclusive venue portfolio of bespoke options for key event segments [12-months pipeline]
Ensure every event is flawless, on-brand and creates lasting emotional connections, supported by a strong behind-the-scenes orchestration.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic leadership & Vision
- Implement a multi-year event strategy that aligns with Region’s objectives, marketing campaigns and business growth targets.
- Collaborate closely with HQ to adapt and localize creative event concepts ensuring they align with Maison standards while resonating with regional audience and market nuances.
- Conduct post-event analysis, measuring ROI and guest sentiment to continuously refine and improve the event strategy.
2. Creative Concept & Development
- Lead the creative process, developing clear briefs for innovative, original and breathtaking event concepts.
- Curate all aspects of the event environment, including venue selection, décor, lighting, sound, floral arrangements, entertainment and gastronomy, with an obsessive attention to details.
- Foster and manage relationships with top-tier creative partners, including artists, chefs, and design & production agencies.
3. End-to-End Event Execution & Production
- Oversee all logistical planning, budgeting and on-site execution for a diverse portfolio of events, ensuring flawless delivery from conception to completion.
- Manage with discipline event budgets, negotiating contracts with vendors to secure the best value without compromising quality, in close collaboration with Group Procurement team.
- Implement rigorous project management timelines and contingency plans to mitigate risks.
4. Team leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor and inspire a high performing events team, fostering a culture of excellence, creativity and accountability.
- Manage external agencies, and on-site staff ensuring they adhere to Maison’s standards of service.
- Work in close collaboration with all MCC and commercial/HJ department to fully integrate the event strategy in the global Maison strategy.
