Job overview:

This position reports to the Champion China General Manager and functional reports to VP P&O, Global and will be a core member of the China Leadership Team. This position is critical to the continued success of the unit in that it provides leadership in the areas of organizational and capability development, talent pipeline & succession, associate engagement and energetic/thriving culture. China P&O director is also a key member of Champion Global P&O Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Leadership – Partner with China GM to establish short and long-term goals to drive business success, provide leadership to the business while maintaining strategic alignment of the people agenda with the business strategy, and ensuring associate advocacy.

Talent & Organizational Health – Gain alignment on the people agenda and developing talent while driving associate engagement; understand the ‘pulse’ of the business in order to strengthen the health of the organization and ensure “fit for purpose” organization design with the right people in the right roles.

Culture and Engagement - Foster a high-performance, inclusive and engaged culture that guided by Mars Five-Principles, Associate Concept and Champion Trial Mindsets.

Unit Effectiveness –Drive efficiency across the P&O operating model by facilitating the adoption of Mars signature programs, offering strategic guidance to China specific projects, providing P&O support to business directly, interfacing with regional and global teams, and communicating emerging business needs to CoE and MyP&O.

Enabling Operations – Guide, support and position line managers and associates for success in their positions.

Job Specifications/Qualifications :

1. A Bachelor's degree and/or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required, advanced degree in HRM, OD preferred.

2. The ideal candidate would have normally worked as an expert in talent, organization development, or as a HR client manager within a multinational company. The role requires a well-developed understanding of the key elements of the role of HR with experience of minimum 10-12 years.

3. Strong influencing skills and ability to leverage expertise to design and deploy impactful people solutions. Mandarin speaker and ability to speak and write English at business level is a requisite. Good business acumen and experience-strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
