•Design, implement, and maintain Linux-based systems for data platforms.

•Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability for data processing and storage.

•Monitor system health and performance, addressing issues proactively.

•Implement security best practices for Linux systems.

•Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

•Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.

•Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to Linux and cloud computing.

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

•3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably in a data platform environment.

•Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu).

•Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.

•Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Compute Engine.

•Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

•Experience with DevSecOps is a plus.

Preferred:

•Certifications in Linux (e.g., RHCE, CompTIA Linux+) and/or Google Cloud (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect).

•Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
