Principal responsibilities

• Lead an AI delivery team to implement business use cases effectively, ensuring the creation of substantial business value.
• Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models, incorporating Responsible AI controls.
• Ensure strict adherence to architectural principles, technical standards, security requirements, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues, ensuring successful, high-quality, and resilient AI services in production.
• Establish best practices for engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools, and drive continual improvement of engineering processes.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding them in building robust, scalable, and maintainable AI software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate AI capabilities into production-ready systems that meet business needs.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role focusing on AI, or ML platform projects.
• Proven expertise in one or more areas, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multimodal Representation Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Hands-on experience in fine-tuning and developing LLMs, with strong knowledge of emerging trends in LLMs and open-source platforms.
• Proficiency in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agent frameworks.
• Advanced programming skills in Python, with familiarity in machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and essential libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, etc.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud/Ali) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
• Knowledge of implementing Responsible AI controls, data governance, and compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical platforms from concept to production.
