Ericsson China Access Network R&D Center is looking for Antenna System Developer for base station radio unit development.

Antenna System plays an important role in the phase of Radio product development, who will drive the antenna HW solution, antenna & beam requirement breakdown and beamforming strategy.

About PEU Radio

Product Engineering Unit Radio (PEU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson’s radio products and solutions. PEU Radio is a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China, and Sweden to drive Ericsson’s strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.

About Radio Products China

Radio Products China is end-to-end responsible for product development from F0 until maintenance of radio products developed in China. We are approximately 1,000 engineers and developers collaborating mainly between Beijing and Chengdu sites to drive Massive MIMO and Classic radio technology leadership and product competitiveness in Hardware, Software and Enclosure areas through early concept study, product systemization, solution design, integration and verification, product introduction and maintenance. Responsibilities

The Antenna System Developer in Ericsson Radio Products China is responsible for:

1.     Participate in pre-study and pre-development.

2.     As radio product owner, design & release radio products.

3.     Interface with strategy product manager to clarify product spatial requirement

4.     Allocate optimized radio antenna requirement, document radio antenna requirement specification and design specification

5.     Lead design team to study radio antenna solution

In one or several of below areas:

·       Drive Antenna solution evolution

·       Drive beamforming evolution

·       Drive trouble report investigation

·       Lead cross-function team in feasibility and development to secure product release with good quality, short TTM and competitive cost.

Qualifications:

·       MSc level in a technical discipline or the equivalent level of knowledge

·       Experience working with R&D (design, system) in Telecom HW is preferred

·       Experience on antenna requirement allocation, link budget is preferred

·       Service-minded and self-motivated

·       Planning and organizational skills

·       Problem solving skills

·       Excellent communication skills

·       Fluent reading and writing in English

Additional knowledge and skills are plus:

·       Experience on Matlab is preferred

·       Experience on Python is preferred

·       Experience on EDA tool (HFSS/CST) is preferred

·       Experience on antenna design is preferred

·       Experience on Network performance simulation is preferred

·       Experience of Radio Base Station Related R&D and Radio Access technology (GSM WCDMA and LTE) is preferred

·       Experience on signal processing is preferred.

·       Experience on link simulation is preferred
