Product and platform development
•Lead CVS (Commercial Vehicle Steering) China engineering team to develop market competitive commercial vehicle steering products from traditional hydraulic steering to state-of-the-art electric power steering according to BES in close alignment with engineering headquarter in Germany, and ensure the adherence with quality, costs and timing;
•Ensure proper engineering budget planning and controlling to meet BP/CF targets;
•Ensure and prioritize the planned work packages of the local development team;
•Evaluate and verify results to identify weaknesses and derives improvements;
•Leading technical problem solving with the respective project teams
•Control implementation of platform, efficiency measures and changes into projects;
•Lead internal communication, escalation and crisis management for COEM related topics;
•Establish lessons learned for issues between projects;
•Drive decisions within platform and product development;
•Represent CVS engineering in internal and external COEM steering meetings;
•Actively join IDN (international development network) and contribute global product development via synchronization of market intelligence from CN to global team, and exchange innovation/RPP ideas.
Product roadmap
•Observe local legal requirement/market trend and perform product benchmarking;
•Define Bosch commercial vehicle steering product roadmap together with engineering headquarter in Germany and PRM based on market trend, legal requirement and company strategy.
Drive innovation
•Develop USPs and secure sustainable business growth through innovation.
•Secure Bosch USPs by patents.
Collaboration and Communication
•Drive effective communication and collaboration with VM internal departments as well as closely connected areas like Truck Company, ME and VDS to ensure seamless integration and utilization of CVS products and functionalities in customer applications.
•Engage with external customers regarding product strategy, testing strategies in alignment with CVS global product strategy, and establish long-term customer relationship.
•Support interaction and collaboration with other product areas and business units regarding the strategic advancement of development methodologies and the creation of cross-product synergies.
Team and competence development
•Proactively acquire and develop talents as per business strategy to ensure healthy team structure and talent pipeline in the long term.
•Drive local competence build-up to fulfil current and future business needs.
•Cultivate a future-ready organization and build a culture of self-driving/self-learning and excellence-driven.
