Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Maglev Product Heat Exchanger Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing new Maglev heat exchangers and order management. As a Heat exchanger Engineer, you will be responsible for heat exchanger designing, testing, data analysis, order support and refining Maglev heat exchanger solutions to support business growth of Maglev products. The heat exchanger consists of an evaporator and condenser. The evaporator includes falling film products and flooded type, while the condenser includes shell and tube and air-cooled products. Refrigerant of heat exchanger will include R134a and HFO type which belongs to pressure vessel.
Principal Responsibilities:
61 Responsible for the design and development of refrigeration heat exchangers, that are evaporators, economizers and condensers including flooded and falling film evaporators, shell-and-tube condensers and air-cooled condensers, flash economizers and plate type heat exchangers.
61 Possess basic pressure vessel design capabilities to ensure products meet relevant standards and specifications include water box design.
61 Possess heat exchanger tube heat transfer design capabilities to ensure products performance, it will be best if good experience on R134a, R1234ze, R1233zd(E) refrigerant heat exchanger design.
61 Capability for evaporator and economizer carryover design and limitation rules, especially on data center applications with high evaporator temperatures.
61 Collaborate with New Product Design teams to develop new cost-effectiveness Maglev heat exchangers and solutions according to marketing requirements include heat transfer design, heat exchanger configuration and inner structures design.
61 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve cost reduced target through design, quality and production improvement based on existing products.
61 Collaborate with reliability and quality teams to improve existing Maglev heat exchanger reliability and quality.
61 Perform technical calculations, simulations, and test data analysis to validate design concepts and optimize existing heat exchanger performance.
61 Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams on order management to ensure the smooth manufacturing and test of heat exchangers, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
61 Conduct technical engineering report and engineering design manuals, component standards and codes for heat exchanger design standardization.
61 Participate in product improvement initiatives, troubleshooting technical issues, and proposing design modifications or enhancements based on customer feedback or field performance data.
61 Conduct market research to understand the latest technologies and trends and propose improvement suggestions.
Key Competencies:
61 Independently design capability on heat exchanger heat transfer design, especially on oil-free centrifugal products.
61 Independently design capability on heat exchanger carryover design, especially on data center high evaporator water temperature applications.
61 Independently design capability on heat exchanger inner structure design include evaporator distributor, eliminator, heat exchanger bundle design, etc.
61 Independently design capability on heat exchanger refrigerant charge to satisfy chiller cost requirements.
61 Familiar with heat exchanger and pressure vessel code and standard requirements to ensure product design satisfy pressure vessel requirements.
61 Strong problem-solving skills on-site, able to diagnose the root cause of faults based on fault symptoms and propose effective solutions.
61 Strong learning ability.
61 Strong communication & presentation & team working skills.
Qualifications:
61 Proven experience (3 years at least) in designing and developing heat exchangers, preferably with maglev product development and centrifugal chiller design experience.
61 Bachelor's degree or above in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering, Refrigeration and Cryogenic Engineering, or related fields.
61 Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and fluid dynamics.
61 Familiarity with chiller components, such as compressors, heat exchangers, refrigerants, valves, and controls.
61 Demonstrated ability to create detailed engineering documents and technical specifications.
61 Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
61 Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including proficiency in simulation and modeling software.
61 Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
61 Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
61 Proficient English listening and speaking skills.
