About the job
As the key figure in agricultural product application development, you will lead Nouryon’ s market development efforts by understanding formulation trends and needs in China through customer visits, generating innovative data for promotional media, and developing training programs to enhance the sales and marketing team's understanding of products. You will manage key projects in North Asia, ensure laboratory work complies with safety procedures, provide technical support and training, and actively promote the application and development of Nouryon products.
In your future role as “Senior Technical Service Manager” you will
Application development with consideration to market needs:
· Develop an in-depth understanding of Nouryon Agriculture products & identify application benefits of Nouryon products versus competitive products in formulation. Generate data to support value proposition communication to customers.
· Generating novel data on existing and new Nouryon products to be used as sales tools in promotional media e.g. Formulating novel/innovative example to demonstrate to customers to their best advantage in any given application
· Preparing written reports and/or PowerPoint presentation, as relevant, for internal projects that are undertaken
Market development together with sales / marketing colleagues & distribution:
· Develop an in-depth understanding of formulation trends/ needs in China through customer visits.
· Keep abreast of customer needs, patent literature, market trends and drivers, to anticipate and test new applications and formulations for Nouryon’ s products and maintain an awareness of competitor technologies
· Visit customers or distributors, when appropriate, to promote Nouryon’ s products; either by general presentations or through specific seminars devised either solely by his/her self or with input from the Manager and/or Marketing/Sales team members.
Technical training
· Train colleagues from Sales and Marketing in the properties and applications of relevant Nouryon products, and, where appropriate, in laboratory evaluation methods.
Collaboration & Train distributor on the use of Nouryon products and in techniques for product evaluation – training programs are to be devised either solely by his/herself or with input from the Business and/or Marketing team members.
· Actively serve as technical support for marketing, sales, and external customers
Team and Laboratory Management.
· Ensure that all laboratory work is conducted according to the relevant Nouryon safety procedures, including writing risk assessments for approval by the Management
· Manage the key projects in North Asia and engaged with global TS network accordingly
· Effective management of any reporting staff.
· i) Setting their objectives, (in agreement with the Manager) and ensuring the objectives are met.
· ii) Providing all training necessary for their roles.
· iii) Appraisal of reporting staff and helping to ensure that appropriate career development plans are in place for them.
· With the agreement of the Manager, assist the Product Manager in technical and quality aspects/issues with Nouryon products.
Others
· Establish a zero-incident culture and ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations and company HSE standards.
· The compilation and maintenance of proper documentation and records of Application & Development work that will provide objective evidence of continuing compliance with the management system.
