The Opportunity:The Raw Material Development and Approval team seeks a highly motivated and hands-on associate to lead engineer the local material development team for both managerial and technical item in Kunshan.Responsibilities:

-Lead a team of minimum 2 engineers/technicians executing New Source program for AP region.

-Implement the global technical standards and best practices

facilitate knowledge management.

-Drive efficiency improvements in material approval programs.

-Provide on-site assistance during plant trials as required and perform supplier Technical assessments.Requirements:

-Min. 7 years in raw materials, reinforcements (Steel and fabric), compounding or material characterization in laboratories.

-Familiarity with raw mateirals and/or reinforced composites, understanding of structure/property relationships and advanced characterization methods for raw materials.

-Successfully demonstrated a minimum of 2 years of technical coaching and mentorship

-Experience in two of the following

Product development, Product Evaluation, Quality, Manufacturing, Global Engineering, Technology development (desired)

-English and Chinese are a must.

-Written and spoken English CET level 6 is a minimum required.

-Any other language will be considered as an asset

-Familiarity with additives, polymers, fillers, and/or reinforcement materials is desired.

-Tire plant experience in mixing/component preparation and with tire production processes - Desired

-Proficiency in the statistical design and analysis of experimental data is required.

-Exceptional communication and technical documentation skills is required

-Domestic and international travel is sometimes required (up to 25%)
