We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Associate Director, Software Engineering.

Principal responsibilities

1. Lead an AI delivery team to implement business use cases effectively, ensuring the creation of substantial business value.
2. Build and maintain automated pipelines for continuous training, testing, and deployment of machine learning models, incorporating Responsible AI controls.
3. Ensure strict adherence to architectural principles, technical standards, security requirements, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
4. Troubleshoot complex platform issues, ensuring successful, high-quality, and resilient AI services in production.
5. Establish best practices for engineering, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools, and drive continual improvement of engineering processes.
6. Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers, guiding them in building robust, scalable, and maintainable AI software solutions.
7. Collaborate closely with AI engineers, stakeholders, and customers to translate AI capabilities into production-ready systems that meet business needs.

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
2. 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role focusing on AI, or ML platform projects.
3. Proven expertise in one or more areas, including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Multimodal Representation Learning, Generative AI, or Large Language Models (LLMs).
4. Hands-on experience in fine-tuning and developing LLMs, with strong knowledge of emerging trends in LLMs and open-source platforms.
5. Proficiency in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agent frameworks.
6. Advanced programming skills in Python, with familiarity in machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and essential libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, etc.
7. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud/Ali) and container orchestration technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
8. Knowledge of implementing Responsible AI controls, data governance, and compliance frameworks is highly desirable.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
10. Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical platforms from concept to production.
