The Test Hardware Developer position within the Test Technology department is responsible for research, specify, implement, verify and maintain cost efficient and high-quality production test system including evaluation of test requirements, definition of test solution, analysis of test results, verification of testing systems, improvement of test yield rates, and the research and introduction of new industry technologies.
What will you do:
· Collaborate within the Test Technology cross-functional team to support RF-related tasks in New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, coordinating across departments to ensure smooth implementation of testing solutions
· Responsible for radio production test solution development including test requirement evaluation, test hardware and test procedure definition, integration and verification.
· Responsible for test solution verification and guarantee the test solution validity and accuracy including verification environment setup.
· Contribute to building and sharing hardware competence within team.
· Find, learn and research new test theories, principles and technologies from telecommunication technology trends.
· Comply with and follow the directive, instructions and procedures of Ericsson Company and global Test domain.
You will bring:
· Master's degree or higher in Communication Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Electromagnetic Field and Microwave, or a related field.
· Strong understanding of the theory and practical implementation of wireless communication systems.
· Familiarity with the basic operational principles of various functional blocks in the uplink and downlink of wireless communication systems. Practical experience in the development or testing of receivers and transmitters is preferred.
· Familiarity with mobile communication systems and the meanings of key RF performance indicators as well as the principles of measurement.
· Experience with RF measurements and proficiency in using Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, and other RF measurement equipment.
· Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing principles and an understanding of the signal processing flow from the digital domain to the analog air interface in communication systems. Relevant experience in this area is a plus.
· Familiarity with radio, digital, power circuit design and simulation; knowledge of digital communication protocols such as I2C and SPI; experience with SerDes interface design and testing.
· Experience with Python, MATLAB.
· Strong problem analysis and solving skills.
· Excellent communication skills and social ability, with a strong team player mindset.
· Flexible, enthusiastic, creative, and proactive.
· Fluent in English speaking, understanding, and writing.
· Proficient in MS Windows and MS Office.
· Relevant internship or project experience is preferred.
