What you will do:

In this role you will: 

1.    Lead a team of professionals with a diverse set of skills and backgrounds in the areas of HVAC equipment unit controls.

2.    Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to improve system performance and efficiency with staying abreast of the latest advancements in control technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

3.  Working with the broader controls team to coordinate controls software and hardware design and verification to support AP Digital & Controls business.

4.    Working with the program management team and the broader organization to plan and execute projects.

5.    Frequently interact with cross-functional stakeholders, including Product Owner, Controls Platform Team, System Controls Team, Refrigerant System Engineering team, etc. to align business and technical requirements and implementation options to deliver the best experience for customers.

6.    Provide team reviews, resource allocation, training, mentoring, progress reporting, decision-making, and conflict management.

7.    Staff team adequately to meet current and future business needs.

8.    Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement for the team.

What you will bring:

1.     Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

2.     Senior level experience with 5+ years leading an engineering team in controls, electronics, hardware or software engineering.

3.     Experience of equipment controls platform architecture, u equipment controls and system knowledge would be a plus.

4.     Understanding of controls system design and controls product development process.

5.     Communication Protocols: Experience with BACnet, Modbus, Obix and LonTalk a plus.

6.     Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both Chinese and English.

7.     Revision control software experience a plus, Subversion preferred.
