About the job

The overall purpose with this role is to contribute to support the objectives of troubleshooting, innovation and development projects in a material application laboratory within catalyst industry and thereby ensuring continuous world leading position of Nouryon.

In your future role as “ Technical Support -Levasil” you will

·  Adhere to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) guidelines to ensure safe laboratory operations, achieve a zero-incident goal, and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. 

·  As a member of the project team, support the objectives of troubleshooting, innovation and development projects, ensuring timely delivery of technical results.

·  Lead experimental activities within the scope of responsibilities, planning experimental processes to meet departmental standards and customer needs.

·  Independently operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment about preparation and characterization of catalyst formulations (mostly involving colloidal silicas).

·  Assist the team in evaluation of the given catalyst formulation, new design of optimized formulation (if needed), and test data organization to support technical decision-making.

·  Write experiment reports in both Chinese and English, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of technical documents.

·  Be responsible for the continuous buildup and usage of the Levasil lab in Shanghai, and be ready to extend hands-on activities beyond Catalyst industry.

·  Work closely with Technical Development Manager and Global Segment Market Lead, proactively contribute to initiate and run application activities / projects in line with Levasil product line strategies.

We believe you bring

·  Bachelor's degree, preferred Master degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Catalysis, or related fields.

·  At least 3 years of experience in a catalyst formulation development and application laboratory, familiar with operating equipment about preparation (e.g., precipitation, filtration, drying, calcination, impregnation, wash coat, milling, mixing etc.) and characterization (e.g., BET, porosity, viscosity, density, titration etc.)

·  Experience in zeolites, SCR catalyst, oxidation catalyst, hydrogenation catalyst, silica-based formulas and relevant application is preferred.

·  Ability to convey scientific knowledge and experimental results into practical use for colleagues to promote commercial activities.

·  Ability to established network within the industry and academia will be a plus.

·  Fluent in English, able to write technical reports and participate in international collaboration.

·  Diligent and meticulous, with strong analytical skills, team spirit, and a willingness for continuous learning.
