1. Manage a diverse range of hardware projects across which include wind turbines, battery storage systems, EV charging, home and workplace automation, and more.

2. Leads hardware design products from concept to launch.

3. Develop elegant engineering solutions that balance aesthetics, feasibility, and cost.

4. Ensures that products are delivered on time, with a high level of design quality, and with maximum strategic value for Envision.

5. Work with the Product Engineering Lead to create a cohesive design language across all Envision products.

6. Find, evaluate, and lead high-caliber external design teams.

7. Guide internal teams through a collaborative, creative, and professionally rigorous design process.

8. Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams with technical team members from software, environments, and brand.

9. Adopt a “founding team” mentality and help to establish and build the design lab at Envision.

10. Additional responsibilities include portfolio planning, long-term strategic vision, engineering and manufacturing knowledge, design language creation, storytelling and presentation, market insights, and executive relationship management.

• Affinity and passion for sustainability and a mission-driven approach to product innovation.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in mechanical engineering, product design, or a related field.

• 4+ years of experience working with a world-class design agency or in-house design-led engineering team.

• A strong portfolio of products that demonstrate exceptional craft and strategic thinking at all stages of product development (from concept to market).

• Expert-level proficiency in product design craft: sketching, CAD, hands-on prototyping, machining, and manufacturing stewardship.

• Experience with a wide range of design projects - from conceptual “future of” projects to refinement and redesign of mature products.

• Fluency in Mandarin, professional working proficiency in English
