1. Drive new package development/strategy to expedite time to market and advance packaging technologies for Ecolab customers; Lead green & sustainable packaging requirements analysis and provide low-carbon solution via LCA tools 

2. Design, develop, source and specify packaging components based on various product characteristics, cost, and in accordance with GB, UN, EPA, FDA, DOT regulatory requirements

3. Responsible for authoring Packaging Component Specifications and providing guidance for Packaging Bill of Materials development

4. Specify and conduct tests on a wide variety of containers used for the protection, display, and handling of products. Testing performed in Ecolab’s internal UN certified test lab or 3rd party test lab. Has strong capability for analyzing and interpreting results to achieve business targets

5. Work independently and coordinate multiple projects. This includes the management of required internal resources and partnerships with Ecolab vendors or partners

6. Excellent communication cross-functionally within RD&E in addition to communicating with corporate functions such as Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service

1. Bachelor, MSc, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Material Sciences or related field with minimal 5 years of working experience and multiple innovated products

2. Demonstrated competencies in relevant technical subjects utilized in package/material process development & design

3. Strong leadership qualities encompassing project management and communications skills, excellent analytical skills and ability to work in team environment

4. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting, team-orientated individual who has business mindset & can drive independently as part of a high-performance team

5. Design and product development experience in plastic resins, molding processes, film and corrugate is preferred

6. Knowledge and practice in lean, six sigma, DOE, and AI
