• Understand Group and Wholesale strategy, help define technical strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
• Plan for people and project management, provide coaching and guiding directly or indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst and architects inside by giving clear direction, feedbacks and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC standards and best practices.
• Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, SMEs, Solution Architects globally.
• Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with business and relevant stakeholders. Manage expectation of key stakeholders and work jointly to maximize interest of business and customers.
• Manage supply and demand pipeline and give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business core interest.
• Conduct API development in WSIT DBB UK Web API design and development.

• 3-5 years of overall IT experience with Knowledge Java, SQL, Redis, MQ.
• Integration Experience and working knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• Experience on API design principles and Rest API development.
• Familiarity with the Linux/Unix operating system.
• Skills and capabilities in API Architecture and API Engineering with in-depth knowledge of key technologies such as REST, API Gateways (Kong) and Management Platforms, Cloud-native stack, etc. Expert in RAML and OAS languages would be preferred.
• Have good understanding GCP technologies such as PubSub MQ, Memstore, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Dataflow , Cloud SQL or similar technologies would be preferred.
• Solid knowledge on Kubenetes and Docker, GKE would be preferred, good understanding on DevOps best practice.
• Expert in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JVM, and concurrent programming.
• Proven ability to define and build architecturally sound solution designs.
• Must have the ability to understand and develop the logical flow of applications on technical code level.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience on banking / HSBC and understanding of how change drives benefits for HSBC, its customers and other stakeholders will be an advantage.
• Experience on HSBC business banking system knowledge will be an advantage.
• Knowledge about HSBC service management process like CR, ICE would be an advantage.
