Are you a good match?

You have hold a Bachelor Degree or above with a minimum of 10 years’ experience and proven track record in HJ retail position. You hold a Gemstone Certification will be a plus (GIA, IGI etc.). You are initiative and full of ownership and commitment. You have good command of written and spoken Chinese and English. You are willing to accept 20-30% travel rate crossing China. 


What are we expecting from you?

Reporting to the China Retail Director as a member of the Retail Team, the  HJ Development Manager is responsible to monitor and contribute to the increase of the High Jewelry turnover, talent pool and clients in China market, through the implementation of HJ retail strategy of the Maison and daily supporting HJ Retail actions at the local level.

In this function you will:

Monitor HJ performance

  • Consolidate and analyze HJ performance indicators and ensure controlling report to implement best practices
  • Monitors performance and report to Retail Director on HJ client recruitment and existing HJ client trends and Sales Associates performance
  • Follows up on sales commitments conversion in deposits and invoicing (Golden Rule adherence)
  • Monitor HJ performance and provide reporting to Local EXCO (HJ client recruitment, existing HJ client trends, SA performance…), and share best practices
  • Prepare presentations (strategic plan, business review, retail meeting, quarterly HJ Call with regional team) 
  • Budget management and adherence to annual travel and client treatment budgets / appropriate prioritisation throughout the year to maximise ROI

Support HJ business & action plan roll out

  • Achieve close cooperation with marketing team to identify needs and optimize stock strategy
  • Support Inter in the development of HJ projects and align regional initiatives with global standards​
  • Support HJ Directors in defining and rolling out the China market HJ strategy and performance monitoring
  • Animate the activity of local HJ community through local HJ board (define scope and content with HJ Director)
  • Follow up & support Local HJ task forces
  • Attend and support local market HJ boards
  • Support Retail Training team to roll out training programs 
  • Coordinate cross functional communication with Marketing, CRM, Retail Training, Area Managers, Boutiques, and Operation

Support HJ Directors of the scope in

  • Deploy retail action plans based on market needs (specific boutique actions, HJ retail incentives…)​
  • Prepare SA’s before HJ events (CP tray strategy review)
  • Develop the number of SA selling HJ and improve their performance
  • Prepare HJ events: validate the list of clients invited, define targets (turnover & pieces), coach SA…, fix objectives, train sales associates, and follow performance etc.
  • Maximize HJ event client attendance (review lists, coaching SAs)
