The Field Application Engineer is part of the Sales & Marketing department. He drives all necessary technical support actions to secure business creation at customers on wide portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable to drive design wins in their target accounts
- Successfully builds relationship with customer Sourcing, R&D, test and other related teams, to catch every design-in opportunity
- Drive customer visits for technical product presentations, demonstrations, and value proposition deployment
- Actively follow up customer project design process, and take prompt response to project change and customer request to secure the design wins
- Successfully builds relationships with sales and marketing team members, BGs, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives
- Synthesizes customer and competitive insights with BG to improve product definition and roadmaps
- Project manages the Nexperia design in campaigns for assigned customers to ensure early involvement in the customer’s technology roadmap and continuous and timely flow of information to all necessary parties within the BGs and custome
- Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements and establishes Nexperia's value proposition/position relative to the competition
- Qualifies the value of our products (strengths versus competitive products) and quantifies the technical benefits derived from choosing Nexperia
- Owns the customer product block diagrams analysis to ensure broader technical team understands the full system requirements
- Delivers ongoing formal and informal knowledge sharing and product positioning that helps assigned accounts understand the operational, financial, and business impact of Nexperia solutions within their practice areas
- Analyzes customer's technical objectives through relevant data gathering techniques enabling the sales team to be more predictive, effective and responsive to customer needs
- Maintain DIT system for assigned customers
