About the job

The overall purpose with this role is to contribute to global business growth opportunities within Pharmaceutical industry (primarily Kromasil) and thereby ensuring continuous world leading position of Nouryon.

In your future role as “ Technical Support -Kromasil” you will

·  Work closely with Account Managers, act as an expert in the pharma segment within Nouryon, supporting the Nouryon brand in China.

·  Develop new applications for Peptides and other API purification.

·  Be responsible for the continuous buildup and usage of the Kromasil lab in Shanghai, and sharing the application methods used internally.

·  Identify innovation and business opportunities and translate into application activities.

·  Identify and evaluate ideas and results based on a deep scientific knowledge.

·  Write application reports for method development made with crude samples and be in close contact with Chinese customers.

·  Initiate, lead and run application activities/projects in line with pharma strategies.

·  Contribute as an expert in the area of chromatographic purification and application of Kromasil externally when needed. Support the organization with expert knowledge.

·  Plan and accomplish complex problem solving within the area of expertise.

·  Manage the Kromasil lab in Shanghai and share application methods internally.

·  Train and coach colleagues to build knowledge and expertise.

·  Stay updated on technical and scientific developments. Implement new scientific knowledge and ensure the use.

·  Track competitor activities

·  Establish and maintain an internal and external scientific network.

·  Handle and solve complex application problems related to purification of crude APIs and customer problems. Be seen as an authority in the area of expertise.

·  Convey scientific knowledge into practical use and business growth in Chinese market. This requires deep chromatographic and collaborative skills.

We believe you bring

·  MSc in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Engineering (or equivalent) with high competence in chromatography

·  At least 5 years of relevant working experience in pharma industry, preferably in GLP-1/Insulin/Oligo. Have an established network within the industry and academia Project management experience

·  Strategic insight and business understanding. Collaborative cross-functional team player. Result oriented, good ability to cooperate

·  Ability to convey scientific knowledge into practical use for colleagues in various functions

·  Documented communication skills in writing reports and presenting results

·  Fluent in English
