* Translate technical concepts, consumer insights, market trends, and business needs into Lip makeup innovation projects with clear objective, target consumers, technical pathways etc.

* Develop robust Lip makeup technologies aligned with the company's strategic objectives, performance goals, safety, quality, industrialization, sustainability requirements, regulatory compliance, and project timelines.

* Lead projects by developing comprehensive retro-planning, experimental design, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies, both independently and in collaboration with partners and align with stakeholders.

* Construct clear and concise technical rationales and stories for effective communication with partners and stakeholders.

* Facilitate the seamless transfer of lip innovation projects to the downstream Development team, providing expert guidance with full project dossier and maintaining a leadership role in project follow-up.

* Demonstrate technical proficiency through reports, patents, and publications.

* Serve as a key team member in the development and transfer of expertise and knowledge (including technical knowledge, new methodologies, consumer insights, market knowledge, etc.) and offer technical support to colleagues on their respective projects.

* Ensure and respect all company and R&I guidelines, ex. EHS rules, Quality and good laboratory practices.

Key Requirements:

* A Ph.D. or master’s degree in chemistry or a related field, with 7 to 10 years or more of laboratory and formulation experience, understanding of research activities and relevant scientific and technical applications. Experience in lip product development, data and/or color science is preferred.

* Knowledge of makeup products, good sense of trends in the cosmetics industry and market dynamics.

* Strong sense of responsibility, creativity, and collaboration.

* Logical and precise communication skills.

* Proficiency in summarizing, abstracting, and presenting information effectively.

* Fluent in English and Chinese
