This sourcing role is responsible for leading sourcing indirect team in General Mills China. This leader plays a key role in developing the regional category strategies that he/she is accountable for, ensuring category compliance, and delivering regional performance metrics for the category including fulfilment of HMM and total value. As a key member of a global virtual team, this role will champion standard, global ways of working and play a critical role in influencing stakeholders within and outside of the organization. This role will also have responsibility for managing a team of buyers. This sourcing role:
· Develop indirect sourcing strategies including supplier management and selection to ensure all suppliers meet General Mills cost, quality and service expectations. These sourcing strategies are designed and executed in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, and all other share service functions, etc.)
· Manage the indirect sourcing and overall supplier relationship management including partnership plans, HMM & key projects for key spend categories under responsibility.
· Manage Regional Sourcing processes for the indirect sourcing: Budgeting, Forecasting of Risk & Opportunities, Performance tracking, saving initiatives tracking.
· Ensure all reporting of financial results meet GMI requirements in collaboration with Finance
· Lead tenders, supplier negotiations, contracts within region
· Create the Regional Risk Management Strategy for indirect goods and services, in collaboration with the Global Sourcing Centre
· Ensure regional Market Intelligence on the categories (Markets, services, trends, etc.) to build pipeline of initiatives and anticipate market fluctuations
· Develop and deliver to savings target set by the global function and the local business team and pro-actively support new initiatives in close relation with Marketing and sales, and the different production sites
· Understand indirect goods and services costs drivers, manage PPV, communicate risks/opportunities to the business
· Manage the commercial, sourcing, and overall supplier relationship within the region
· Collaborate with the Global Sourcing Key Stakeholders: Global Sourcing Centre, Regions, Plants, & others to leverage worldwide supplier relationships and buying synergies
· Create meaningful linkages with, OGS, Plants and Marketing to ensure effective category strategy alignment and process compliances
· Ensure all dealings with suppliers are conducted with ethics and integrity and comply with General Mills corporate guidelines
· Lead and manage effectively a team of buyers
Demonstrated ability to create and lead the implementation of sourcing strategies.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across various functions both internally and externally.
Solid knowledge and skills of indirect sourcing, including supply chain related categories (Capex, logistics, etc.)
Significant experience in relationship (team, stakeholders and suppliers) management.
Strong project management expertise and proactively working attitude
Bachelor's Degree
Fluent mandarin and English communication in verbal and written
10 – 12 years of indirect sourcing experiences
FMCG industry experiences preferred, Team leader experience is a must
