About the role
The BE BOM Sourcing Manager will be part of a focused, high-calibre procurement team and will have responsibility for developing and implementing procurement strategy for a broad spectrum of Backend Materials (Metal-based).
The sourcing manager is concerned with complex international global projects, including global stakeholder management and international negotiations.
You should be able to work with a high degree of independence by establishing international sourcing strategies with stakeholders while working to achieve organisational and departmental goals.
Proven experience in managing multiple, simultaneous, complex sourcing events and contractual activities is required.
What you will do
Commodity Management
•Accountable for constant monitoring of supply markets for Backend Materials and ensure to exploit these supply market trends for the benefit of the business
•Accountable for the development, review and approval of Back End wide sourcing strategies for metal-based materials together with the Commodity Team. Includes the translation of customer needs into supply requirements
•Perform market research to obtain market knowledge and experience to develop negotiation strategies
•Analysis of spend categories and market conditions for the appropriate application of sourcing strategies
•Responsible for the execution of the sourcing strategies by site teams: analyse and monitor the actual execution of the sourcing strategy
Cost Management
•Lead commercial negotiations involving cross-functional international team members
•Establish Negotiation Plans for Key Backend Materials
•Develop, update and review the purchasing budgets, price roadmaps & actual pricing for the complete Backend material (metal-based) portfolio
Supplier and Supply Management
•Accountable for fact-based choices in selecting, categorising and developing the supply base together with the commodity team
•Maintain a close relationship with the supplier’s key account manager, to ensure proper deployment of Nexperia’s requirements at the supplier and be the focal point for any escalations towards supplier
•Accountable for regular performance (supplier rating) & business reviews with suppliers
•Ensure involvement of purchasing and suppliers in product creation processes and facilitate supplier integration in order fulfilment processes
Process Management
•Drive the implementation of program tools in order to achieve Purchasing operations excellence
•Report and manage performance measurements for Backend Materials and drive improvement projects, so that business requirements and objectives are met
Contract Management
•Accountable for the preparation, conclusion and execution of contracts with the suppliers in order to cover Nexperia’s risks and to optimize results on aspects like supply volume and flexibility, product specifications, quality and reliability levels, and pricing: settle and justify all commercial/pricing agreements
What you will need
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
•Strong Negotiation and Analytical Skills
•Strong Project Management and Leadership Skills
•Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
•>5 years of international Direct Materials for Backend sourcing experience; preferably with technical knowledge of Semiconductor Backend Leadframe, Solder Paste and Wires
•Experience in managing and/or leading international commercial procurement projects
•Ability to prioritise and work on multiple activities at one time
•Ability to work independently in a dynamic and ambiguous global environment supporting multiple time zones
•Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint presentation and data analytical skills
•Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level
