Job Description Summary:
An approachable and supportive HR Generalist proactively identifies HR priorities that align with iRobot strategy to further business performance. This person provides active guidance and partnership with managers and employees to help them develop their skills. You will understand key people issues in business teams, make recommendations and represent their needs.
With a focus on strong relationships, you will play a mediating role between iRoboteers that need support in their interactions. As a culture-builder, you will look for ways to align programs and objectives with our core values. You are motivated by being an employee champion and change agent. Communicating needs proactively with our HR team and business groups, you seek to develop integrated solutions.
This role will base in Shanghai, but work scope will be Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
Responsibility:
• Provide full life-cycle HR operational supports for assign organization includes recruiting, training, payroll, attendance administration, performance and employee relation management, people data & files administration, on/off-boarding and communication etc.;
• Deliver strong supports on organization changes with connective HR functional initiatives involvement likes recruiting, employee relations, training and development etc.;
• Support Sr. HRM on regional talent management as well related training initiative implementation;
• Provide feedback and advice to leaders based on sensing and networking in the organization;
• Proactively initiates dialogue with business supervisors, providing advice on issues affecting morale, performance, development, and organization effectiveness, helping to determine root causes and recommending appropriate next steps.
• Actively partners with site supervisors to ensure alignment of people strategies and business initiatives.
• Assists Sr. HRM in creating and launching new programs aligned with HR strategy.
Other Specific Responsibilities:
• Ensure that HR processes and procedures are consistently communicated and administered throughout all business situations.
• Provides support in the following areas: career planning, performance management, coaching, compensation and benefits, employee relations, learning and development, and recognition.
• Work with the HR Business Partners to continuously improve, update, and maintain HR tools and processes
• Assist with employee development training programs
• Support all the strategic initiatives & projects in the department
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of progressive HR experience in fast paced, dynamic and high growth environment.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to work independently as well as collaborate with employees at all levels in many different teams.
Strong partnership with HR teams (TA, Comp, Learning, etc.) drive support of overall people goals.
Genuine curiosity and strong desire to continuously learn, grow and develop others. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working on own initiative with limited supervision.
Solid attention to detail to ensure compliance to employment records. Solid knowledge of local labor/immigration legislation and practices.
HRIS, timekeeping, and/or related enterprise software experience (Workday preferred).
HR agency coordination experience including work permit application, social insurance and housing fund administration, supplemental benefits assistance.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Strong sense of responsibility, maturity and teamwork. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload on a daily basis.
Advanced MS Excel skills including the ability to interpret data
Fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both written and verbal) is required.
Ability to travel and work in different time zones. Can travel to Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, South Asia and outsourced factories (Travel frequency: 5%)
