Position Summary


As a true leader and ambassador of the Alaïa Maison, you will ensure the implementation of the strategic vision on the ground, drive network performance, and inspire teams to deliver excellence in sales and clienteling.


Passionate, dynamic, and results-oriented, you will actively contribute to the growth of the brand in China, proposing short- and long-term action plans to achieve the company’s ambitions.


Responsabilities


Drive and Oversee Network Performance

- Define and execute annual and monthly sales objectives for the entire network, breaking them down into clear, measurable KPIs aligned with the brand's ambitions.

- Lead weekly performance reviews and propose action plans for continuous improvement.

- Share and communicate the brand’s vision to inspire and align teams. Foster engagement through regular field visits, daily interactions, and performance reviews.

- Establish an attractive incentive plan, setting challenging KPIs to drive motivation.

- Recruit and onboard top talent to build high-performing teams.

- Monitor and communicate vendor performance to HR (bonuses, KPIs) and management.

- Ensure all the reports from stores are submitted to the back office on time.

- Analyze sales performance for each boutique and suggest optimization strategies.


Ensure Outstanding Client Experience

- Develop and implement a tailored clienteling calendar aligned with brand positioning, ensuring ROI across all client initiatives.

- Guarantee impeccable in-store presentation, adhering to Alaïa’s visual merchandising and grooming standards.

- Oversee and deliver an exceptional client experience through consistent execution of Alaïa’s selling ceremony.

- Support retail teams through change management, ensuring smooth adoption of new tools, practices, and standards.



Achieve Sales and Retail Targets

- Define buying levels per boutique and season; propose purchasing strategies based on local market trends and core assortment priorities.

- Analyze product performance at seasonal, monthly, and boutique-specific levels; ensure efficient stock rotation and optimize seasonal buys.

- Ensure effective use in the store / staff capacity to maximize the sales per square foot

- Coach and support teams in developing cross-sell opportunities, complementary sales, and additional value propositions (AVPs).

- Structure and implement private sales initiatives, including dates, targeting, and product selection.


Collaborate with Operations and Excellence Teams

- Set and share clear clienteling objectives with teams; provide training on outreach techniques and best practices.

- Identify external partnerships to enrich the client database and monitor KPIs regularly.

- Oversee operational procedures for smooth network functionality.

- Ensure accurate execution of annual and cyclical inventory processes.

- Control and supervise the expenses in stores to increase the cost effectiveness

- Responsible for all POS and tools arrangement for the new and existing store

- Take part in strategic projects, including future boutique openings and expansion opportunities.



Profile Requirements


- Proven experience as a retail leader in the luxury or premium fashion industry.

- Strong knowledge of the Chinese retail market, with an ability to adapt to local client behaviors and cultural nuances.

- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, engage, and develop teams.

- Results-driven mindset, with expertise in KPIs, sales analysis, and performance optimization.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- Fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.

- Availability to travel across the region to support boutiques and new openings.
