MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Executive daily work and develop project independently.
Responsible for executing Product Engineering activities at Asia sourcing office. Working closely with cross functional teams, suppliers, testing labs, and global teams to support product line review, line extension activities, new private brand product development, product test verification and onboarding, engineering change management. To support North American Engineering team in product design and innovation execution in Asia.
• Independently handle business-related works (40%), such as VOC, benchmarking, PR, comparisons, NPI, and PSO
• Manage daily engineering project operations (20%), including tasks such as PPT, ECR, protocol development, DAP, SP and supplier management.
• Resolve product performance issues (20%) and provide engineering guidance like product evaluation etc.to suppliers
• Independently conduct financial & value-based analysis (10%) and prepare presentations
• Expand responsibilities to more categories work, such as product design or cost-related template development.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCES
• Bachelor and above, mechanical, electronics or material processing
• 10+ working experience in appliance (refrigerators, air conditioner, gas/electric ranges, dryers, dishwashers, laundry, range hoods) industry, product develop engineering, quality or manufacturing related.
• Experience in different appliance categories and smart appliance will be preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skill in English Oral / Written
• Experience working with OEM suppliers through the product development cycle would be preferred

• Familiar with general product design and development processes and tools. Can conduct critical design reviews, FMEA, new product introduction (NPI), and provide feedback to suppliers and suggestions to the business team clearly and independently
• Gain insights from VOC reports, arrange product benchmarks, tear-downs, and comparisons independently for test protocol (PPT/PSO) development with internal or 3rd-party labs. Train suppliers on new test requirements and work with suppliers on testing CAPA.
• Understands basic knowledge of quality control processes for incoming material, first batch, and mass production stages. Knows how to read THD documents such as FAR, IR, and PSI.
• Apply comprehensive knowledge of various manufacturing processes and Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize product design and production methods.
• Implement engineering projects independently, e.g., PPT, ECR, Benchmark, VOC, PRD, Protocol, DAP, and PSO.
• Develop smooth and effective SP and supplier management through visits, audits, regular meetings, and daily communications. Build mutual trust and respect for better cooperation.
• Expertise in AI tools, Power BI, Tableau, and statistical methods for VOC analysis, benchmark test results, and SP/PE performance reviews.
• Systematically understand innovation processes/tools and applies them to process re-engineering and product development (NDP/NPI etc.)
